It was our lab time, when I noticed that this student of mine kept on working onto something that's even a part of our activity so, I approached him, reprimanded him and confiscated the paper he's working on.Suddenly, I noticed that the paper is actually a comic. I am shookt 😯 I asked him if he's the one who conceptualized it, tho he was shy at first but then, he answered "Not just me teacher, I am working on it together with my 2 other classmates po". My artist heart jumped. So instead of confiscating the paper, encouraged him to finish the comic and let me read it. Said that, I hope someday I will be able to see his works published. Yesterday, during our lab activity, he gave me the comics and told me to bring it home and read it. Lesson learned: Sometimes, we want students to strive based on how we are raised to learn. But, everyone is a genius in his/her own pace,in his/her own special way. We cannot judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree(Einstein). Appreciate the small things that a child can do, let them be who they wanted to be. I am very proud!❤ P.S. I still reminded him not to do it during class hours, spare time will do. 😂
