Pictured: me, my characters Corsica, Dodger, and Shin
This is another major favourite of mine - I’m so in love with this art style. It manages to be super cute while also being simple, expressive, and recognisable. I adore the pose and body language in this particular picrew. I also just realised that it’s by the same artist as another one I have bookmarked and in my drafts on this blog! My self-portrait from this maker is one of my all-time fave picrew selfies. (:
Completely monochromatic, which is super stylish but may not be what you’re looking for
Limited hair textures - not very many curly/wavy options
Only one body type - very few picrews allow much wiggle room regarding weight/body types, but it’s much more obvious in a full-body image like this
Three skin shades, all pictured above
It’s not immediately obvious where to pick the skin colour, so I’ll point it out for you: in the second category, when choosing ears, the colour options are for the whole body’s skintone!
Huge number of facial feature options: blushes/cheek markings, ears (either round or pointed, each with several earring options, or no ears at all), eyebrows (the thick ones have colour options), mouths with a wide variety of expressions (change colour for further variety, as indicated by the icons)
Loads of options for the eyes alone: one category to set eye shapes, another for sclera colour (white or black), a category for EACH iris (shape and colour, including odd ones like stars and swirls), a category for the lower eyelids (eyelashes, bags, etc.), a category for eye shines, and a category for closed eyes (which will replace the open ones, of course!)
Hairstyles mix-and-match across five categories, with four shades. The bangs, main head of hair, and stray hair/cowlick will automatically colour-match; the strands on the left and right of the bangs are coloured independently.
Main clothing comprises six categories: underclothes, tops and full-body outfits, jackets/second layers (some of which will cancel out the first shirt, depending on how you combine them), bottoms, socks and stockings, and shoes. All of these have multiple shade/pattern options.
One category for face and neck accessories including glasses, scarves, masks, etc.; another for hand and arm accessories including bracelets and gloves. Gloves are clearly marked for which hand poses they fit with.
A category for animal ears; another for wings and tails
Another category for hand poses, hands with rings or band-aids, and held objects
A category for speech bubbles and atmospheric character effects
A final category for backgrounds - one customizable flat-colour, another customizable simple wall and floor
