Yuno and Mahiru are foils!

Mahiru the innocent, naive girl that thinks love is anyone needs in the world to be happy. Yuno the jaded, carefree girl that doesn't believe in love and uses it to as a means to get what she wants.

Their views on love contrast each other perfectly — and aren't those big parts of these characters?

I wanted to add onto this just bc I thought of it...

Isn't it ironic that Mahiru and Yuno ended up in totally opposite roles than what they were used to? Or what they were comfortable with?

Yuno became the caretaker and Mahiru became the one that was doted on. Contrary to Yuno usually being the one that receives and Mahiru being the one that gives.

Being in that position, Yuno had to face her situation directly causing her change in T3. I wonder if Mahiru had survived if she would've been changed by Yuno as well?

A small detail I really liked about Deep Cover is when Kotoko is talking about Muu the translation is "incessant". Which, sounds a lot like "insect"!
