"Stu," Billy groaned in pain, clutching his stomach as cramps tore his insides. "Can you hold me?"
Stu looked up from the Rubik's cube, one that he was nowhere close to solving, before tossing across the bedroom. He was pretty sure some of the colored squares broke off as it landed but he didn't care.
He'd had many girlfriends in the past, and they'd all complained about their periods to him. All he could really offer was some gas station chocolate and an ear, one that wasn't listening, but the girls didn't need to know that.
Billy was different though. Not because he was a boy- well yeah, that too, but more because he actually meant something to Stu. He was his best friend.
"Here, lemme get the hot pouch," Stu said, getting up. "The one with the beans..." And he left the room to go fetch it.
Billy just grunted in response.
It wasn't just the cramps or the feeling of blood cooling in between his legs, but his mind was like putty. He swore he ate enough that day but all he can feel was dizzy. His sight was swaying, or was he swaying? And the room was too bright. Way too bright.
"Here, Billy," Stu closed the door behind him and handed the newly-warm bean pouch to his boyfriend.
Billy sat up groggily. "You'll hold me?" And he placed the warm sack against his abdomen. His face softened and he let out a sigh of relief.
Stu got into the bed and leaned back against the pillows. He opened his arms and Billy crawled to him, laying his back against Stu's chest. Stu wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, putting his hands also on the pouch, giving it more pressure.
Billy sunk into his embrace.
