I just this scene…it’s a culmination of all the abuse Brienne suffers on a daily basis. She’s not surprised by the men’s laughter and jeering, she expects it, but damn it still hurts no matter how much she tries to ignore it, she feels it deep to her bones, wants to rise above it but it hurts so damn much.

And you see Jaime figure it out, see him run through every joke and horrible comment he’s made since they’ve met and regretting it with all his heart. She was a joke to him, until she really, really wasn’t.

Even this hardened, older version of Brienne is sensitive, I wish they hadn’t waited until season 8 to explore that more
