When souls of mortals fall into the grasp of lust,
They intertwine with passion divine and seek for it,
Not knowing what lies at the end of that path,
And neither what comes down in the aftermath.
Just there, in that moment of weakness, on the edges
Of passion awaits that sly grin and feeds off its craving.
To all beings both mortal and fey, the lustful sister –
The Snickering Minx, corruption into their ears whisper.
Her story tied to Aurianne from the onset,
Their origin tied closely together, tangled
And intertwined through creation and destruction.
A rule that knew no law (such hunger for corruption).
Long is the line of those who undertook her offer
Of wealth, opulence, pleasure, and greed, oft fell
Into her clutches. Even before gaining her crown,
She found so much joy when mortals in sorrow drowned.
Upon deposing the King of Trade, she took the throne,
Perchance, only in name, as rule was not her pleasure,
Instead, her sister spread her haunting web of lies
In secret and allowed the Minx to prioritise
On what she did best: charm and seduce their rivals
Before corrupting their heart with pleasure and gifts.
For nigh a millennium, this arrangement last
And still, the animosity was fina’ly amassed.
When on that blackened, Dark Day, the Wicrow fled
Their pastures, she fought the waves with her flow divine,
The most powerful of gods when concerning magick,
Yet only did so much to hamper their onslaught tragic,
And found herself in perilous play, that even a god
Would be betrayed and overcome by fear, and dread
That her mortal followers would meet their pathetic ends
Without paying homage to her and all her friends!
Such devastation was wrought upon the Outerworld,
Left it almost devoid of life, all but gnarled
To the bone. With much dismay she helped the helpless folk
Back on their feet, not expecting much in return, for shame!
But then, oh precious rot, it came onto her,
In darkened times, times of scarcity men’s hearts spur
With a need of more! Not for lust but simple needs
Of life. ‘Twas easy to convince mortals to do
Her bidding in place of herself and garner more power.
And due to hunger, every corner she did scour,
Could not foresee her own downfall, the bane shared in
Her family, both sisters so power-hungry,
Were deceived easily and then on Trial’s Eve,
Cast out into the very world that they’ve aggrieved!
