I swear the same people who constantly shit on Rose for explaining his bankai, and how many L's he takes are the bleach equivalent of the Zoro and Sanji powerscalers that don't stfu. Secondly every character in the fucking series explains their abilities in some way, shape, or form- stop fucking capping. It's a shonen anime from the early 00's, that was always a fucking thing- or are we already going senile?
Rose needed to lose because Renji's boring ass needed to show off his ugly ass "tRuE bAnKaI", and Kubo hates the Vizoreds...
Save my boi he is being hated for doing the same thing as other popular characters, like Rukia blabbing about Sode no Shirayuki, or As Nodt talking about Fear, but it's only dumb when he does it. Literally fuck that shit.
Rojuro as Overprotective Dad Ć Izuru as his Lieutenant and his soon-to-be son-in-law.
I don't know whether it's too late to submit this. But, let's write some. It's both headcanon and short fiction compilation.
What if RÅjÅ«rÅ's daughter dated Izuru?
Part 1: RÅjÅ«rÅ found his daughter's love letter. Without mentioning any name, he knew the letter was for Izuru.
RÅjÅ«rÅ shockedt. His jaw dropped. He had never been this shocked when he heard about anything about his daughter. His only little princess. The one he spoiled the most with ultimate princess treatment ever since she was a baby.
When he heard something about Sonoka, his beautiful daughter turned down a lot of guys in Seireitei, he just chuckled, then he said, "That's my girl. She knows who's worth for her."
But this?
He massages his temple. How could she have feelings for his lieutenant? Not because Izuru is a bad guy. He's a really good guy. Too good, even after Gin left him in ultimate despair. RÅjÅ«rÅ hoped that someday he found any guy with the same good qualities as him to be her daughter's future suitor.
But not Izuru Kira himself. That guy's too old for his daughter. Their age gap is about 100+ years.
"Taichou, you calling me?"
Soon after he summoned to 3rd Division captain's office, Izuru came to RÅjÅ«rÅ's office and started their conversation with the same formal tone.
"Izuru, you read that. Didn't you?"
RÅjÅ«rÅ, straight to the point, asked him. It's not sound intimidating, but still, he was interrogating him.
Izuru was confused, but later, he understood what was his captain talked about.
Ah, that brown-enveloped love letter, written in a pink paper. The envelope that he thought it was this month's salary bonus for him.
"I think I don't deserve it, Taichou. I mean, to be loved by her romantically. I always treated her as my own little sister"
RÅjÅ«rÅ intrigued. As expected from his dutiful lieutenant. But were his words true?
"What should I do, Taichou? To be honest, I was confused"
RÅjÅ«rÅ laughed. Something that Izuru rarely found. His lieutenant is too plain to understand this. But since it involved his daughter, RÅjÅ«rÅ should do something.
"It's up to you. But when you decide to chase her, you gotta pay the price"
For this time, Izuru proved something that he suspected for long. RÅjÅ«rÅ Åtoribashi is actually a good man. But when his daughter is involved, he's far more dangerous than his previous captain.
Part 2: "Taichou, I'm in love with your daughter. We just officially dated yesterday"
It took about three years after their conversation about Sonoka's love letter. When he thought Izuru wouldn't love his daughter back, the truth before him was entirely different.
Without he knowing, some of 3rd Division members (mostly new recruits who are secretly in love with Sonoka) talk badly about Izuru behind his back.
"Sonoka-sama doesn't deserve a nearly-dead man like him"
"Half of his body is artificial. How can she love someone with artificial body parts?"
Soon after, RÅjÅ«rÅ summoned Izuru to his office. He had to know why Sonoka was dragged now when they talked about Izuru.
"Tell me, Izuru. How could almost every guy in Seireitei hated you?"
Inhale, exhale. Izuru did it about five times before he confessed to his captain. To his girlfriend's father.
Her overprotective and spoiling father.
"Taichou, I'm in love with your daughter. We just officially dated yesterday"
Okay. Enough explanation. Now RÅjÅ«rÅ found out about why his lieutenant became Seireitei's most hated man overnight.
"Well, I don't hate you for that. My daughter deserves to be loved"
A sheer relief sparked in Izuru's heart. But it doesn't last long.
"Beware, Izuru. You still had to pass my tests"
Izuru just nodded. Then, he left his captain alone. His suspicion was just started.
After Izuru left him alone, RÅjÅ«rÅ was dramatically crying while holding Sonoka's framed baby photo, hugged by him.
"My baby! My princess! My precious! Why did you leave your poor dad like this?!"
Meanwhile, in the 10th Division's Barrack, Sonoka Åtoribashi sneezed.
Part 3: "Don't touch her. Okay, maybe holding hands is enough. Don't get further!"
"Izuru, listen. I still haven't approve you to date my Sono-chan. Don't touch her!"
As Sonoka's father, RÅjÅ«rÅ thought that he must set the boundaries for Izuru when he dated his daughter. One of the boundaries he set is about physical touch.
"I can do it, Taichou. But, Abarai-kun said that at least, couples should holding hand while they're on date" Izuru tried to reason.
"Okay! Maybe holding hands is enough. Don't get further!" RÅjÅ«rÅ
Izuru wrote himself a mental note. And he tried to avoid more intimate physical touch with Sonoka. Religiously.
But in reality?
Sonoka kissed his cheek as a goodbye after a date. In front of Åtoribashi house.
RÅjÅ«rÅ was freezing. Almost seizured when he saw it. His baby girl is the one who broke the boundary he set.
Part 4: Not Shinji, pulled a prank on RÅjÅ«rÅ. Provoking him whenever he sees them walk together.
Shinji is always intrigued when he sees Izuru and Sonoka walking around Seireitei as lovers. He's always happy when he could told RÅjÅ«rÅ anything about their date. Of course, in hyperbolic way. He loves to see if RÅjÅ«rÅ would scold Izuru for something he actually didn't do.
Just like today. The reality is, Izuru only whispering something to Sonoka. But Shinji told RÅjÅ«rÅ the otherwise.
"Rose! I caught them nearly kissed!"
Lie. Absolutely lie. No, Shinji isn't pathological liar. But he's just told him so to prank him.
"WHAā"
"Not only that! He hugged her tight after that like a romance movie!"
Lie #2. Shinji can sensed that RÅjÅ«rÅ will started his dramatic cry soon.
"NO! MY BABY GIRL!"
Shinji grinned. His "mission" is success. On the other hand, RÅjÅ«rÅ nearly fainted. He's shocked.
"Rose, you okay?"
Shinji still pretends to be worried about him. Actually, he's happy to pull a prank on him.
"Shinji, get me to 4th Division Barrack. I think I'm gonna pass out"
Shinji just grinned and immediately carried RÅjÅ«rÅ's bigger body on his shoulder. Straight to 4th Division Barrack.
Part 5: Spying goes wrong
RÅjÅ«rÅ, like other overprotective fathers, has thousands of ways to monitor her daughter and Izuru while they were on a date. He even used his youngest son, Tsukiya, to spy on Sonoka. He just wants to know that his daughter is completely safe and Izuru doesn't do anything wrong to her.
"Tsukki, use your spying skill. Spy on your Nee-chan for me"
"Go spying on her by yourself, Tou-chan"
"You sure you don't want extra tofu dishes from me for a month, Tsukki?"
Tsukiya sighed. He never liked this kind of order. As OnmitsukidÅ member, he's well-trained for espionage. But not for spying on his sister! He only did his father's ridiculous order for his favorite tofu dish.
"Fine. I'm gonna report by evening after dinner"
Tsukiya hides between tree branches and keeps spying on Sonoka and Izuru. So far, there's nothing wrong with them. Just a casual conversation about their daily life, sometimes Sonoka said she's tired of doing piles of paperwork as 8th seat, and sometimes they gossip on RÅjÅ«rÅ.
But when Sonoka looks on to the branches, she finds something strange. A big black shadow is too big for a size of shadow. Sometimes moving swiftly left and right, but without left any sound.
"What's wrong, Sonoka?" Izuru asked.
"Oh, I just spotted a little tofu monster wearing OnmitsukidÅ garments, sneaking around and watching us. It must be Åtoribashi-taichou's secret mission"
Without further explanation, Izuru knew they were under Tsukiya's watch. It must be RÅjÅ«rÅ's order.
Too late. Tsukiya ran away fast with enough detail to report. But Sonoka, on the other hand, caught him in 4K while spying on her.
Tsukiya got himself the worst humiliation for OnmitsukidÅ ā getting caught red-handed while he's doing so-called "espionage mission." Tsukiya is lucky that it was an unofficial mission.
Part 6: Brother-in-law is one of Kenpachi's most brutal warriors
Raku Åtoribashi is RÅjÅ«rÅ's first son. By look, he looks exactly like RÅjÅ«rÅ, but rougher with slightly softer feature and intimidating aura (though he's actually a jokester).
Raku's strength is no joke. He entered the 11th Division after graduating from Shin'Å Academy as the best student. On his first day, he challenged Kenpachi Zaraki to a duel and told him he would take 12th Kenpachi title. Zaraki, impressed by both his skill, endurance, and strong will, granted him a 7th seat after a year without hesitation.
And now, Izuru had to face him. 11th Division's Golden-haired Demon. Izuru had known all of RÅjÅ«rÅ's children ever since they were kid. But seeing Raku grown into a bloodthirsty, battle-crazed shinigami like other 11th Division's members, it was shocking him.
Raku just gets himself bare-chested. Battle scars spread everywhere in his wide shoulder and muscular torso. His beautiful signature full-back blooming sakura tree tattoo appears. That's how he always did before battling everyone.
"Relaxed. I'm just resting, Izuru-nii. DAMN! HOW COULD OYAJI SURVIVED HERE?! THE AIRCON HASN'T BEEN REPAIRED FOR AGES!"
Izuru exhaled. He thought he would duel him in the backyard.
"Don't mind Oyaji, Izuru-nii. Sometimes, he'll lose his dignity when something happens to Sonoka. Oyaji spoiled her since day one"
Raku just laughed warmly. He makes Izuru more relaxed for a while. Till he unsheated his sealed black-hilted zanpakuto and clean its sharp long blade.
"But, you know that I protected her since we were just a little kid. If you ever make her cry, you'll taste the sharp edge of my zanpakuto, Izuru-nii"
Now, Raku is back to his factory setting. 11th Division brutal warrior.
"Isn't it interesting, fight against one of Zaraki-taichou's monsters? Isn't it, Izuru-nii?"
Raku is just saying it calmly. Sitting on the couch, bare-chested, polishing his zanpakuto's blade.
And now, Izuru is more terrified of his captain's carbon copy. Silently, he's considering buying a coffin and a piece of land beside his parents' grave after this. Just in case he hurt Sonoka unintentionally, he can be buried beside them.
Part 7: RÅjÅ«rÅ cries a lot and undignified in their wedding day
Sonoka Åtoribashi dresses beautifully on her wedding day. She's already pretty, but her wedding attire makes her looks more stunning.
When she recited her wedding vow, RÅjÅ«rÅ can't stop crying dramatically. Started from this day, Sonoka is officially married with Izuru. RÅjÅ«rÅ felt like Izuru has stolen his princess forever. Suddenly, his dramatic cry caught everyone's attention. The elegant, poised, and refined 3rd Division Captain can cried undignified in his daughter's wedding.
When the wedding kiss has started, RÅjÅ«rÅ cried even more. Now, his spoiled little princess will become Izuru's wife. He'll no longer spoiled her like he did in the past. He cried even more undignified when they shared the wedding kiss longer. Even the priest had to break them for taking it too long.
Little did RÅjÅ«rÅ knew that his dramatic cry would become Seireitei Communication's hottest news in the next edition.
Extra: "Taichou, can you tell me how to make a child?"
Now Izuru officially become RÅjÅ«rÅ's son-in-law. But is it become easier to talked to him, as they're family now?
No, it isn't.
The plain Izuru is confused now. He and Sonoka always wanted to have a child, but they don't know where they should start. He already asked Renji, but Renji's answer was too vague. He didn't understand.
So, Izuru, by his initiative, asked RÅjÅ«rÅ about how to have a child. After all, he's experienced. He had three children (including Sonoka), so he has more than enough experience to teach him to.
"Taichou" Izuru called RÅjÅ«rÅ.
"Got any problem, Izuru?" Rojuro responded to him with his usual soft-spoken manner.
"...Taichou, can you tell me how to make a child?"
Silent. Ultimate silent moment.
Izuru suddenly felt guilty. He shouldn't asked his captain about this.
"You WHAT?"
"IāI want to have a child with Sonoka, but I don't know how to start"
RÅjÅ«rÅ suddenly imagined how he made his children with his wife. Then, he suddenly concerned that Izuru would do the same to Sonoka. The pain, the blood, the scream...
Oh, no. RÅjÅ«rÅ shakes his head.
"Asked anyone else. Or watch something"
Izuru is even more confused. RÅjÅ«rÅ's answer is even more vague than what Renji said to him earlier.

Can I just gush over a rare pair here for a moment. I hate how hard it is to find content for these two, considering they are in the same damn group.
Shinji Hirako and RÅjÅ«rÅ/ Rose Otoribashi.
I can find a total of maybe 10 fanfictions with these two, and I have yet to see any of them drawn together. These two are both part of the visoreds, previously both captians, both fascinated with music and having side stories hanging out in Bleach: Brave Souls. I know it is more popular to pair Rose and Love, and I love them, but I feel like Shinji and Rose would be absolute dorks together gushing over Jazz and other music hanging out chatting over silly things. I love the idea of them so much, and it is driving me up a wall. My freaking bleach faze is going to drive me up a wall all over again.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Rose is definitely one of the more affectionate men in the Seireitei, but not always in a ātouchy-feelyā type of way. Heāll tell you how lovely and inspiring you are or pick up the nearest instrument and compose a little something on the spot. Even with a captainās workload, he finds time for his friends, and time is one of the most valuable things a captain can spare.
For you, there will be lots of private serenades and dramatic kissesāthink Gomez and Morticia Addamsā and plenty of cuddles. He is one of those men that will sweep you into a hug from behind, and if you are short enough, he will rest his chin on top of your head.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Rose would be a wonderful best friend. If youāre into anything music or art related, thatās all it will take to strike up a friendship. Rose is equally inclined to befriend poor, suffering souls. He canāt resist the drama, but his intentions are sincere!
He tends to be a very empathetic and nurturing individual, even toward his subordinates. Outside of his impromptu compositions, this probably isnāt going to get displayed in super ostentatious ways given the culture, but he very much pays attention to people and what it is they need and acts accordingly.
This is plainly evident in his relationship with Lt. Kira, and Rose would be just as encouraging as a best friend. Rose also understands that positivity isnāt always what his best friend needs. Heās the type of guy that knows when to cheer you up and when to just be there while you work through thingsā¦ and to get you rip roaring drunk if need be. (That certainly helped with Kira.)
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
Cuddles? Are you kidding? Rose *loves* to cuddle, at least with you. This is most often done privately, but he canāt resist the urge to wrap you up in his arms, petting your hair and showering your face with kisses while comparing you to a work of fine art. He isnāt always melodramatic and flowery; Rose understands that quiet, peaceful moments make the showy, theatrical moments even more bold and exciting.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
Rose is a free spirit and not the type to need a traditional set of vows. If heās committed, then heās committed with or without the legal and social trappings. That being said, I think Rose would marry the right person after careful consideration if such a thing were important to his partner, but it would take him a lot of time to warm up to the idea.
If you settle down with Rose, be prepared to be the cook and housekeeper, or get used to a life of take out and a house that is forever cluttered with his imported issues of Shounen Jump, manuscript papers, and a growing multitude of musical paraphernalia. Also be prepared for your bedroom floor to be covered in dirty laundry unless you keep things tidy. Rose doesnāt really intend to make life difficult for his partner, but the mundane tasks get overlooked by his flights of musical fancy. At least until he runs out of clean underclothes.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
Rose would let them down as gently as possible. Heās not the type to ghost someone or refuse to offer some sort of explanation. Heās wonāt get angry if they cry, but he wonāt indulge manipulation either. Heāll gently remind them that the pain is temporary and reassure them that love will certainly find them again.
Rose has no issue with commitment. In fact, he prefers the security of it, but legal marriage isnāt really on his radar. Thatās not to say that he wouldnāt marry his partner, but to Rose, the bonds of legality might feel a bit claustrophobic. Rose is a very loyal man, however, and would take that sort of commitment very seriously. This is why it would take him a long time and a lot of deliberation.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
Rose is a very gentle soul by nature, until you threaten what or who he loves. Then all bets are off.
While he isnāt the type for excessive displays of public affection, he is very nurturing with his words and actions, down to giving compliments with any correction he needs to make with his squad members.
Physically, Rose is generally gentle, especially with you.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
Rose isnāt one for excessive public displays of affection, even with his theatrical personality, but out of the public eye, he does enjoy hugging his s/o when the mood trikes. This is usually during moments of beauty and connectedness. He likes to hug his s/o from behind the best, leaning down to whisper in their ear or pulling them to his chest was he sits behind them, his long legs flanking them to either side while watching a sunset or listening to music.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Rose has been around for a very long time, and he has learned to save the deepest parts of his heart for those who demonstrate that they will do the same in return. But when it happens, it will come of out nowhere, seemingly at random. Heāll walk by and sweep you up in a hug and whisper in your ear, āDid you know? Your presence is my favorite melody. How can I not love you?ā
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when theyāre jealous?)
Rose isnāt quick to feel jealous and is even slower to display jealousy outwardly, but despite his seemingly aloof nature, he pays attention to *everything.* If he notices excessive touching, or if you starting to invest time in someone else that you usually invest in him, that will get his attention. The spotlight of your affections belong on him if you are in a relationship, after all.
Rose will likely try to get through to you in song or some other indirect manner, but if that doesnāt work, he will take it up with you directly. If there is some issue causing a rift, Rose will seek to resolve the situation. Heās also not above a little subtle ādiscouragingā of the other party, however.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
Roseās kisses areā¦ dramatic, just like everything else about the man. Heāll dip you like youāre dancing. If you are in something sleeveless, heāll start with your hand and work his way up your arm with little smooches that are just loud enough to make you blush. However, your neck is Roseās absolute favorite place to kiss you whether itās suddenly appearing behind you and moving your hair aside with a flourish to kiss the back of your neck, or pulling you roughly into his arms and attacking the side of your neck with kisses like heās some sort of Gothic vampire, as the mood takes him.
Rose likes kisses on the lips, specifically kisses that are slow with slightly parted lips. Thereās a beautiful romantic sensuality in for him. He also like having his neck kissed also, specifically the spot just behind the angle of his jaw or just below his ear. Whisper the right words while you linger there, and youāll have the man eating from your hand.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
Child rearing is a mystery to Rose. Heās mildly horrified by dirty diapers and the thought of being spit up on. Potty training would not be his gig either, but he would secretly love rocking them to sleep with a lullaby. While Rose isnāt particularly adept at dealing with unruly behavior and sticky hands or the plethora of colds and snotty noses that come with small children, he will jump at the chance to teach them things as they get older, especially anything music or art related. As they become older, and more reasonable, Rose finds that he rather likes being the ācoolā dad or āuncleā. Affection and encouragement would never be in short supply.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
This diva likes his beauty sleep and will sleep in every chance he gets. If you arenāt gone by the time he gets up, then he will often put off his morning preening to have a quiet cup of tea with you, maybe a light breakfast. This is the only time of day that Rose is taciturn, and thatās only until the caffeine kicks in. If youāre lucky enough to get to sleep in with him, then expect cuddles designed to keep you in bed until one of you absolutely must get up.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
How he spends his nights with you depends on how āinspiredā Rose is feeling. Or how tired he is. Sometimes he feverishly orchestrates most of the evening, other times he likes to engage in conversation, getting your thoughts on the latest music he has procured or discussing your interests. If heās very tired or stressed, he might ask you to read to him, preferably while you let him rest his head in your lap. You can also expect grand romantic gestures of the āflower petals on the sheetsā variety from time to time. (Those are the occasions where he actually remembers to clean first.)
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
You would think Rose was an open book with how expressive he is, but thatās not quite the case. The kind of empathy needed to create the way he does can also leave people a bit vulnerable, and over his long life, Rose has learned the value of discretion. That being said, Rose certainly doesnāt harbor the trust issues some of his colleagues have. He generally opens up to people a little at a time, but he also trusts his intuition and sometimes opens up to certain people relatively quickly, Izuru for example.
If he trusts you enough to be exclusive, he will begin to share the deeper parts of himself a bit more freely and a bit more quickly, but he will get guarded if you donāt reciprocate.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
Rose is pretty patient and easy-going, and his anger tends to be more of a āslow burnā type of thing. Even in the midst of war, he was eerily calm on the outside. Make no mistake, however; when the dam breaks he can get near maniacal with his foes.
With those he close to, itās a much more measured response. He can be a bit passive-aggressive, penning scathing musical numbers or using tactical stone walling (aka pouting.) But true to his dramatic and mercurial nature, this phase usually passes quickly, and heās more than willing to talk it out and make peace.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
Rose remembers the important things, and he has an especially good recall for what draws out strong emotions in people. When it comes to close friends of a partner, heās very good about remembering special occasions also. If you are his s/o he absorbs it all, even the silly story about how you almost sent an instructor to the Academy infirmary because you tripped on the hem of your hakama in kidÅ class.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
It would probably be the first time his you told him you love him or when you agreed to a long-term commitment of some kind.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Rose is one of those people that falls under the banner of āItās the quiet ones you have to watch out for.ā He isnāt overbearing, and if you are a Shinigami, he trusts you to handle yourself as a general rule. If you get tossed into something above your pay grade or you arenāt a Shinigami and youāre facing a real threat, he will go from his usual easy-going, stand-back-and-watch mode to his psychotic-grin, kill-it-with-fire bankai mode in short order if need be.
If itās not a physical threat, then he will likewise trust you to handle your own affairs. He will not interfere unless you ask him to or he feels that you are being bullied or taken advantage of in some way, and you are either too proud to ask him for help (in which case he might go behind your back and handle it) or you canāt just come to him and ask him to intervene for some reason. Any way you look at it, Rose will protect those he cares about when it comes down to it.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
Special occasions? Rose plans the entire affair. All of it. To perfection. And whatever it is will be done in grand fashion. Birthday? Heās throwing you a party (whether you like it or not because āYou deserve to be celebrated, darling!ā) Anniversaries? Expects multiple gifts, one for public presentationā¦ and another for a more private celebration. There will be candles and rose petals, or something similar, at the very least.
A first date would be equally as well planned. Heād be sure to include as many of your favorite things as possible, and he would have started learning some of them by observation and casual questions from the moment he even considered asking you out. Expect to be serenaded at some point. If you accepted his invitation, the you are already aware of the inevitability. After the first few dates, there will be more nights in or simple meals and a quiet walks. Rose appreciates the romance of both types of dates, but you will still be getting serenaded at some point. And to be fair, you knew what you signed up for.
Daily tasks are another matter, however. Rose is flighty, and his mind often skips right over things that need to be done even when heās just looked right at them (much to his lieutenantās dismay.) If you ask him to do something for you, he will make every effort to remember and usually succeeds, if haphazardly, but there are times when it takes some nagging to get results.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
See above. Rose is awful about keeping things neat and staying on top of mundane tasks. He also has a tendency to monologue and wax poetic at inopportune or annoying moments. Perhaps the worst is his tendancy toward fits of self-absorption, by which I mean his refusal to curb the impulsiveness of his capricious nature. While Rose is generally attentive and in tune with your needs, there are times where his whims make him oblivious to most everything that doesnāt loudly demand his attention.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
Rose is the second most vain officer in the Gotei 13, second only to Yumichika. He swears by his beauty sleep and keeps his nails meticulously manicured. And pedicured. (Those sandals are hell on the feet!) He probably has some of the smoothest feet in the Seireitei, and the lack of any callouses on the soles of his feet is probably why he complains that his feet hurt after any extended walks. And donāt get me started on his hair care routine. I do hope you donāt need that vanity mirror any time soonā¦
Part of his clutter definitely includes the plethora of skincare and hair care products he has Urahara smuggle in for him from the World of the Living. Between his beauty products and things like high thread count sheets, well letās just say itās a good thing heās on a captainās salary.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
When Rose is all in with someone, heās all in. So, yes, once he is truly committed heād absolutely feel like there was a hole in his soul without you. He wouldnāt completely fall apart, at least not in public, but he would forever use the ache to fuel sad rock ballads and their maudlin lyrics.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
He keeps an old-fashion, natural boar hair brush. He swears by it for keeping the ends of his hair from drying out and breaking. He swears by that whole Victorian Era ābrush your hair 100 strokes per dayā myth, even though he always gets distracted well before 100 strokes of the brush.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldnāt like, either in general or in a partner?)
Poor grooming is a HUGE turn off for Rose, and heās kind of picky to be honest, though he doesnāt expect his level of perfection in others. This goes beyond the usual āplease donāt smell like sweaty ass and look like swamp thingā standards some people have. This means you keep your nails filed and free of peeling or chipped paint and you donāt have five miles of split ends at the bottom of your hair.
Rose is a laid back individual, and he bristles at people that are given to screaming and pointless violence. This is something he would have a great deal of trouble dealing with in a partner, and if it was too extreme, this type of behavior would be a non-starter for relationships.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
Rose plays air guitar in his sleep. Okay, so the movements are more subtle than full-on air guitar, but you can definitely tell that all the hand flopping and finger wiggling are the manifestations of some grand concert heās performing in his dreams.
