A smirk was the male’s only non-verbal sign of response, refusing to break eye contact with the flustered girl. He knew he had won this round, and was relishing every bit of reaction he could illicit from his old acquaintance. If you put it in a way, her anger brings him joy.
He’ll never tell Riruka, but he missed teasing her–… but Tensa did not miss its annoying after-effects.
“…Are you still on the run? Are you living here? Where have you been? Why did you just suddenly disappear?”
“ Ah, about that. ” and just like that, the smirk was wiped off the usually placid man’s refined features upon hearing the last question. “ He almost caught me back then, I had to move out quickly. ” he was talking about a certain stuck-up, prissy-ass blond man that was, unfortunately, his cousin. Whom he had specifically instructed the girl way back then to look out for when he was still staying at her hometown. How long has it been? two years? “ Why don’t we talk about this over coffee? There’s a coffee shop just a block from here, we could talk there. ”
Another frown tittered across her face, that relative of his; she might not have met him just yet, but he was already getting on her nerves (but her reasons were more selfish than anything), “Right, of course...” She should have expected that answer already, she shakes the urge to sulk a little ( Cause really, you disappear for two years and can’t even send one message, what kind of jackass is that?)
“Sure, but you’re paying.” Riruka’s expression brightens up, the smile on her face drawn mischievously.
“You owe me two years worth of junk anyway, as punishment.” She saw the chance and took it.
