The Book of Mormon, McPriceley + Arnold/Kevin friendship + Kevin/Naba friendship
Multi chapter, rated M, chapter 12/13
He opens his mouth and is just going to ask, and then he’ll know, and he can put this eternal doubt behind him. Instead what comes out, to his greatest horror, is “What’s wrong with me?”
Or: Kevin doesn't think he knows how to human correctly.
“Gardening is doing you good. You’ve definitely gained some muscle mass.”
“Definitely, huh?” Kevin jokes, holding his arms out in front of him. They look the same as ever, but he knows it’s easier to spot the difference on other people.
“Yes, definitely! Take your bicep for example-”
And just like that Connor has looped loose-held fingers around his arm, is pinching as if to prove a point. “Your biceps have one hundred percent grown bigger since, since…” Freezing the moment he realizes what he’s doing.
Kevin’s heart is pounding in his throat. Connor is touching him, but not constricting, not casual and light either. An ever-present pressure to his arm, meaningful.
He experimentally flexes his bicep, almost can’t believe what he’s doing. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say his actions could come across as flirtatious.
Connor goes beet red and pulls his hand back. Kevin grows equally flustered, moves his arm up in one fluid motion to scratch at his cheek, like that was his intention all along.
