I swear to God, if I see one more female!reader fic on male!reader or male reader tag I will flip.  I do NOT want to scroll down till my thumb aches, just to see that perfect fic in the male reader tag is actually a female!reader.

The tag is called male reader for a reason. If you really feel the need to not put male reader in the male reader tag, just make it gender neutral. How hard can it be to write a gender neutral fic? There are a shit ton of body parts both males AND females have. 

This really bothers me and i don’t care if some people are going to get mad at me or something like that, it makes me uncomfortable. Many fanboys or trans boys or demi boys wanna enjoy their fics but they can’t do it just because some random ass female decided to clickbait people in order to her fic being seen more.

I want to put this in perspective for anyone else in Canada: this has happened within less than a century. These are 1665 human beings who would have otherwise been elders today. Thousands of people who should have been able to grow up, live their lives, build families, maintain and pass on traditions, and more, gone because of British colonialism.

The Canadian government and Catholic church intentionally destroyed an entire generation of Indigenous people. Please, support your Indigenous friends, and please stop pretending that Canada is better than America when it comes to institutional racism.

If you’re like me and have a large gap under your front door (someone could take a stick and just poke the leaning stick style door jam out), I recommend the Addalock. It’s small, perfect for traveling, and this lock is CRAZY. It’s so simple but the door does not move.

You can’t see it from the other side, either. It also cost about $20, and I can’t recommend it enough. Easy to travel with, too! Great for Air BnBs!

That’s why I have these on my doors. They get drilled into the side and once its flipped over the door nothing is getting it open. Not the door being unlocked nothing, I’ve unlocked the door and pulled and pushed as hard as I could and it didn’t budge. When I go on a trip this is what I use and when I’m home I leave it on too. No one is getting in here.

Okay I know that it is necessary for many but what do you do if you need medical attention and you’re not able to open the door from the inside? Can the fire department get through these at least?

Yes. The fire department can and will break down your door if necessary, it’s one of the reasons they have axes; it’s entirely possible for door frames to melt/expand/seize or otherwise become unopenable during a house fire but the door itself can be hacked down. Or the window. In rare cases, the wall. Firefighters don’t fuck around with collateral damage when lives are at stake.

This works not just for sexual harassment, but also any type of bigoted joke - racist, homophobic, whatever.

I discovered it by accident when a college dorm mate of mine made a snarky joke about a guy (who was Black) who invited me to his frat picnic. I legitimately did not get the joke and she got so uncomfortable. A mutual friend explained it to me later when she was telling me this other girl was mad at me for “making her feel racist over that joke.”
