Their relationship always had be smiling. In the beginning, i never understood it. Was sailor uranus a guy or a girl? But that’s the point, what does it matter? Sailor scounts can be reborn any gender, and be anyone they want to be and still save the day. They were challenging gender norms when i was little, maybe this is why i ended up being pansexual. And they were so in love, i remember that specifically, their relationship, i think, is more meaningful than usagi and mamoru.

I still will always admire their relationship over any other relationship in this series. Ami was the girl no one talked to, the weirdo, the rich girl who had all the things necessary to be successful, and in the show, it was portrayed that she was weird because of how smart she was. I literally cried when Ami found luna, and usagi was like “she doesn’t seem cold” just by looking at her play with her cat. And then judging her when she said that she thought luna was an angel. Ami, along with the other sailor scouts, would of course risk their lives for the princess. But Ami? I think Ami would specifically stand in front of usagi and the dark power just to save her because usagi saved ami from herself and that’s the biggest thing aynone could do for someone. I love this picture, its a nurturing picture, like she’s taking care of usagi for the rest of her life. I mean ami IS the first sailor scout she found after getting her memories back cmon now, they have to have a special connection.

Thoughts: Their relationship always had me in love with both of their characters. Kikyo so cold because of the jealousy and anger she felt about being betrayed, kagome having no idea how to handle it at the age she is, but she is so kind hearted she knows that it’s bad to feel the way she does about her sometimes because she knows the fate kikyo suffered was not her own it was just the purpose she was given in that lifetime. Everyone doubts kagome at first because she knows nothing and comes from yanno... that future, when in reality, she’s stronger than kikyo by the end of the show simply by believing in her own fucking POWER. SO IMAGINE if you or I, even, believed in our own power.. how amazing we would all be. How much we would thrive, as these women did, Kikyo changed herself because of a bigger purpose while also re-learning how to love, and if that isn’t a life lesson, i don’t know what is.
