#you knowwww lief was still pulling bits of flowers out of jasmine’s hair 3 months later #she’s got a whole ecosystem growing in there #my art #dq art #deltora quest #ok here’s some fun facts about this piece (it’s my art blog and i get to talk about my work)#about halfway through it i noticed that the colors and the sunburst looked just like the cover of through the deep dark valley #so i redid the sun to reference the album on purpose #bc like. we WERE born in the shadow of the crimes of our fathers.#i listened to the hound + the fox’s cover of for the dancing and the dreaming about 500 times while painting this #and of course king and lionheart. dq song of all time.#i eschewed all modern western wedding conventions. no rings no bouquet no white and black #originally i wanted lief in white but it didn’t work with the rest of the color palette #but i think he looks good in blue. he would get a little fancy with it #jasmine though….. this exact look has been my vision for twenty years and i will not betray it #a simple pale green sleeveless dress and tiny white flowers. that’s it #and my last-minute addition that i love so much - the diamond is going nuts
