Finally finished the 2nd iteration of my map!

Added my new dragons and some places like the Blacklight Lounge and the Research Society. It’s getting very complex!

One hall of barracks in the Fortress of Ends sleeps between 20 and 30 exalts (depending on the breeds of said exalts) spread between floor space, suspended hammocks, and curtained bunks usually reserved for the higher ranking of those assigned to a given room. 

Halls on the interior of the structure are favored both for the better insulation and the darkness provided by a lack of windows that makes sleeping between night shifts a bit easier.

As promised, here’s a rail map of the Shifting Expanse complete with operating lines and planned lines. Tumblr has taken the initiative and destroyed the image quality for us, (so kind) so standby for a full res link in the reblogs since some of the labels are hard to read.

The patterns reflect Tempest Spire’s attempts to expand into and civilize the desert. Large scale westward expansion projects are often met by strong opposition from local clans, religious circles, beastkin tribes, environmental organizations, and, most importantly, the terrain itself.
