Minimum Requirements for Writer Contributions
As we get closer to opening our applications, we want to share with you what would be required of someone contributing to the zine.
———
⚔ Works must be completed in English.
⚔ Our zine is in English, but once the waiting period after zine sales passes, you are more than welcome to translate your work into your preferred languages.
———
⚔ Completed piece no less than 3000 words, but no more than 5,000 words.
⚔ This must be a finished product. We understand that this work may spark inspiration and you're welcome to use this contribution as you like once the 4-month waiting period has passed.
———
⚔ There are some content restrictions on works contributed to the zine.
⚔ We ask that major character death (specifically a death that is either Levi's or Eren's) not be present in your contribution unless it is a plot point used for a fix-it or reincarnation AU.
———
⚔ Final submission must be in a Google Doc with a link that anyone can view for zine formatting.
———
Applications open February 28th.
Minimum Requirements for Artist Contributions
As we get closer to opening our applications, we want to share with you what would be required of someone contributing to the zine.
———
⚔ Artists must contribute at least one page of art.
⚔ Artists can use up to two pages for their art in each zine, and are encouraged to contribute as much as they like.
⚔ One page may be a single-page illustration or a comic in English (vertical orientation).
⚔ Two pages may be either separate works, one work in two parts, or a multi-page comic in English.
———
⚔ Sketches and lineart alone are not acceptable.
⚔ Flat colors are required. Grayscale colors are allowed if it's your artstyle or your work is a comic.
⚔ Background can be simple with flat colors. It doesn't need to be fancy, but it must make the piece look complete.
⚔ Full rendering is not required, but an empty white sheet is not acceptable. There can be exceptions made if it's part of your artstyle or a comic.
———
⚔ Art work must be Size A4 (2480 x 3508 px), resolution 300 DPI, and in RGB.
⚔ Final files must be saved as a PNG or JPG for zine formatting.
———
Applications open February 28th.
Our zine will be sold in three editions: a Fixed Rivaere Edition, a Fixed Ereri Edition, and a combined RivaEreri Edition.
We respect the fixed shippers in the community and want them to feel welcome sharing their work with us in our zine.
During applications, contributors will choose whether they want their work to be featured in the Rivaere or the Ereri fixed zine.
Due to our zine being Rated M or lower, we understand that some people may feel like their contribution is up for interpretation. Contributors are welcome to have their work featured in BOTH fixed zines, if they choose.
We want to assure people that cross-posting a contribution is not considered a contributor spot in the other edition.
These are considered additional contributions to the other edition. There will be an equal amount of cross-posted material between both fixed editions.
There will also be a combined RivaEreri Edition that will feature ALL works from both fixed editions.
This will be sold at a slightly lower price than it would be to purchase the two fixed editions separately. It will also place Rivaere and Ereri contributions side by side. There will be tags indicating the dynamic per the contributor's intention.
We feel this is a fair, balanced way to feature the work in our fandom while respecting fixed shippers.

⚔︎ About Us ⚔︎
This a PDF charity zine project for RivaEreri. The main zine has a content rating of M, and there will be an explicit mini zine for NSFW content. Although the overall zine is mixed-dynamic, there will be separate Ereri and Rivaere editions for fixed shippers.
All proceeds will be donated to Ocean Conservancy, a charity that focuses on protecting and rehabilitating the ocean by tackling issues such as pollution, overfishing, and ocean acidification. The zine is ocean themed in honour of this, as well as the ties it has to the ship.

⚔︎ Charity Info ⚔︎
The Ocean is Vast and Beautiful.
The ocean makes up for nearly 68% of all the world's surface. It is awe-inspiring, beautiful, and endless.
As humans, we find beauty, romance, and creativity in its depths. It's a source of ceaseless inspiration for us. Because of the ocean, we have created tales of mermaids, sea serpents, romanticized life on the ocean as a pirate, and we have dreamed of exploring its fathomless secrets.
The same ocean that sparks that passion is one that we have polluted. Its wildlife is suffering, its plants are dying, and we have a chance to reverse the damage that has been done.
The Ocean is Essential for Life.
Even if you have never seen the ocean, it influences parts of your everyday life. The ocean produces half the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink. It's estimated that three billion people rely on the ocean for their livelihoods. For some Indigenous communities, their waters are sacred, extensions of their culture and history, and often times the main source of their food supply. Clean, healthy oceans help provide jobs and food for communities, sustain economic growth in coastal towns and countries, and help regulate the global climate.
Why Ocean Conservancy?
Ocean Conservancy works to protect the ocean from trash, overfishing, and ocean acidification. They create science-based solutions to create a healthy ocean for wildlife and the communities that rely on it. They have programs spanning from confronting climate change to keeping the ocean trash-free, as well as creating sustainable fisheries, and they even cultivate government relations for support in ocean conservation.
They use education and advocacy to focus on long-term solutions, built on a foundation of reliable, fact-based science. Ocean Conservancy understands that the ocean is our responsibility to take care of and that the engagement that we have today will lead to a healthy, abundant ocean that will help our coastal communities prosper tomorrow.
Charity Navigator Score: 4/4 stars. 94.13/100. Awarded with the "Give with Confidence" tag. In the last 3 years, they have used 77.1% of funds on their programs. 15% went to fundraising.
