What I’ve learned in the past year:

Isolation breeds contempt. A party of two stuck on a boat, island or elevator will either resort to copulation, murder or cannibalism. I can do all of these things alone too -- but ah, doesn’t life thrive on a worthy comparison?

I love my dog more than anything because love is a doing word that finds more truth in silence. Dogs are skilled, silent monks.
