I wore my PMA hoodie to my therapy appointment this week, and my therapist and I got talking about PMA and how it differs from other positivity frameworks. My therapist said that one of the reasons PMA is actually helpful is because it’s validating. Instead of pushing the idea of, “Just choose to be happy,” which is invalidating, PMA encourages us to acknowledge our feelings, allow ourselves to feel and process them, while also believing that things will get better and that we can continue to do our best with whatever we have to work with in that moment. Instead of making happiness seem like something you either have or you don’t, PMA reminds us that becoming happier and healthier versions of ourselves is a continuous process, and having bad days isn’t some kind of failure. PMA works because it’s not about being happy all the time - it’s about doing your best, believing in happiness even when you’re not feeling it, and believing that life is worth living even when you’re struggling because you know it will get better. It’s about being hopeful even when things are shitty, which is such a lifeline in those shitty times.

My therapist is really proud of you and really happy to know you’re using your influence to help people with the PMA movement, @therealjacksepticeye. ^-^

OH YEAH NOT LOVERS ~

because one of my favorites fanfics and the lovely @makapedia deserve a lot of art

NOT LOVERS was the first fanfic I read in english and I loved it immediatly, I always wanted to draw something based on the story

and I worked so hard on this!! especially with Soul’s tattoos. It took me 3 weeks to design them, yeah, two full sleeves oh my god (I’ll do a special post with all the tattoos soon ;D)

and at the beginning I planned to do just 2 drawings, but I couldn’t stop and here we have 7 xDD
