timelapse vide of me working on drawing the guides for me to write on so the lines would be straight. unfortunately i didn’t notice it was out of focus and that my phone fell
more photos of my 1000 project

photos of my most recent art project. We had to create a piece form 1000 objects. I chose to use lines from my own creative writing and write them directly on the wall and floor of the armory in wet erase expo marker. It was insanely deceptive as far as how much I had done and took longer than I ever expected. Thus I ended up working from 9:45 am ( the day before it was due) to 5:15 am the day it was due in order to finish on time. While I love the piece I did not appreciate the exhaustion and massive hand cramps as well as a sore back that came with it.
The words started a little over 10 feet up on the wall and spilled over onto the floor but I haven’t measure how far.

I got to practice figure drawing for the first time today in class. These are a few of the longer sketches
End result hung up on our critique wall. Still really happy with it
Since I can't sleep at the moment here are some pieces I made last semester and a photo of my portfolio review board that got me in to the VT studio art BFA program at the end of it. -Emma
immediately after I finished. photos of the final product to come once the adhesive I sprayed on it to try and make the extra charcoal powder stay dries. Fingers crossed it words.
part 2 of the process- at least until my phone ran out of memory
Part 1 of a process video for my Avant-Garde project 2 for my POAD II class. This was actually a lot of fun.
contraints: 1. produced while dancing 2. bare feet
medium: Charcoal powder
POAD II Circle assignment result
In my Principals of Art and Design II (POAD II) class we had an assignment centered around the circle. Everyone int he class drew one medium and one constraint from a hat (envelopes technically but you get the picture). My medium was Math and my constraint was “produced under starlight or moonlight only”. This was the resulting video of the process.
Does the blankness of a page ever draw you in? Beg you to write, to fill lines with scrawled words? Sometimes that feeling is overwhelming to me.I have to let the words escape or they just might devour me.
