i've not fully gathered my thoughts because i don't think the show will fully process in my mind for another 52 hours but. by far the best thing about tonight, better than how they looked, better than the merch, better than how incredible they sounded, was how so genuinely overjoyed they all seemed. god they were smiling SO BIG they were laughing with each other they were leaning on each other they were dancing about. the weirdness in the chemistry from the shrine concert and even the danger days tour is just. gone. they're so comfortable with themselves and each other up there. they were the rawest and most themselves they've been since bullets i think. there were very few ultra-theatrical moments and i think that was a mix of purposeful and natural. when they laughed and smiled and jumped around it was all so instinctual. gerard was so excited they were nervously rambling like a dumbass between sets. the lack of cohesive costuming, makeup, all that, as much as i love and somewhat miss it, is purposeful. it's just them up there and they sound better than they ever have. I'm just so happy. in general but specifically for them.
