fromthebody is an american alternative metal band formed in san sequoia, california in 2025. they were formed by frontman jayden king, lead guitarist elijah banks, bassist nadia ruth, and drummer ryker parker.

the band quickly rose to fame after uploading covers to simtok, where they were formally known as the catch twenty two. eventually, their covers caught the attention of many which gained them a loyal fanbase.

aside from being known for their fusion of metal and shoegaze-- fromthebody is also widely known for being an all black queer band with jayden being transgender, elijah being bisexual, nadia being lesbian and ryker being gay. fromthebody's debut album is set to release late this summer, with tracks featuring influencers from artists like deftones, loathe, superheaven, narrow head, and team sleep. who's your favorite?
