Finally, my semester’s over!! I haven’t been active for a long time since after my three-week process in my university’s UNESCO Club, I had to exert extra effort to save my grades as they went straight doooown. Fortunately, I got my grades up again and no words can explain how it feels to get exempted from all of my subjects’ finals.
Anyway, there are a lot of updates in my life:
I got in the UNESCO Club - UPLB, my first organization in the university. It’s also one of my dream orgs, which is really great. The people are so amazing and welcoming, and I intend to start becoming active next semester. Plus, my friends Aly, Renka, and Dainie joined in with me. Yay!
As I said, due to three weeks of divided attention, I lost focus on my studies and the next thing I know, I have no idea what my professor is talking about anymore. I was always tired and busy, so my last two weeks of the semester was full of books and papers and quizzes I failed to review for. I also had to avoid my comfortable bed (huhu) so I stayed out of my dorm for a month.
Speaking of which, my dormitory is only good for my freshman year. So, as of the midyear, I’m going to be staying at my friend’s house, wherein they have lots of rooms for rent. It’s perfect: they’ve got white walls (which is always a plus for me), a kitchen, a bathtub, a cable TV, and wifi. Aly and Dainie will be moving in too, which is kinda practical since we’re orgmates and we’ll be pretty much going home together.
Instead of the usual two-month summer vacation all students crave, I plan on spending my summer taking midyear classes on Statistics. I also wanted to take basic French, but they only offer it every first semester, boo.
Only taking three units for the summer hopefully gives me more time to travel to nearby places and take photos again. And well, if not, I could always just sleep!
And of course, my semester’s not officially done without a kick-ass sem-ender! Initially, my friends and I planned on renting a resort and inviting a few friends. Somehow, they interpreted it as a big party when I jokingly made pubmats (oops). There was drama here and there so to make it short, we decided to spend the night in our favorite bar, Iris. For pre-game, Aly and I surprised Renka with mixed drinks and a game of I’ve Never (it’s so much fun when you haven’t hung out for a long time). As we waited for our friends, we bumped into our orgmates and their friends who were also having a sem-ender. We headed to their place and invited our friends there instead. As we attempted to cramp ourselves in the little apartment, someone suggested that we drink on the rooftop instead. It was perfect - vices x guitar (we had a riff-off too!) x stars is always a nice combination. Some were drunk, therefore we moved to a flat rooftop, which we didn’t realize is not the apartment’s property anymore. In the midst of laughing and singing, the landlady began shouting from below, accusing as of trespassing (true) and illegal drugs (wait, what now?). We freaked out and started running down, helping our oh-so-drunk friends in the process. We ended the night in Iris, but since they ran out of drinks, we just danced and raved to music until the sun came up.
And yes, I finally replaced my boyfriend in the Legend 3 (top 3 strongest and hardest drinkers of the group).
Here’s to more unforgettable memories!
