Nightwing had gotten out of the shower, alone in Jason's apartment around midnight. Jason was out on patrol so he had the place to himself for a while until he got back. He had just been planning on working on some case work or reading or something.

He wasn't usually a reader, but the boredom of not having much to do but not being able to really be alone in Bludhaven without wanting to shoot himself in the head, has made it that he's doing things he doesn't usually do. He was drying his hair off a bit more, walking into the living room when he felt something was off.

Someone else was here.

To make it short, that's how he ended up here. With him. Slade Wilson has always been a pain in his ass but apparently here he is again, strapping him to some chair in some random warehouse. He's talking to someone over comms, probably Wintergreen if Nightwing had to guess. Wintergreen always seemed somewhat apprehensive about the whole apprenticeship thing, but it's not like he ever helped. He was a strange man.

"What is wrong with you?"

Slade asks, grabbing Nightwing by the chin and forcing him to look at him.

"I could ask the same thing…"

Nightwing mumbles. Slade's in his suit, and it's apparent to Nightwing that the man wasn't entirely thinking about it when he kidnapped them.

"You quit your job, abandoned your apartment, put your suit away. I thought you were dead, Kid."

Slade spits out, taking out one of his swords as he leans back, fiddling with it. Nightwing is shocked a bit to hear genuine concern in the man's voice.

"Well, clearly that didn't stick, sorry."

"Do you have a fucking death wish?"

"Kinda yeah, are you gonna kill me?"

Slade pauses at that, narrowing his eyes at him. Nightwing huffs, Slade puts his sword down and cracks his knuckles, before punching Nightwing square in the face with a lot of force. Nightwing coughs, spitting out blood. Slade shakes his hand out.

"I'm debating it."

"Really?"

"…"

Nightwing laughs at that and Slade punches him again, grabbing him by the throat and pulling him slightly up to look at him. Nightwing shuts up, just staring up at the man who's clearly trying to intimidate him.

"Why are you in Gotham?"

Another punch to the face, and another to stomach. Nightwing's somewhat reminded of being beaten to a pulp by Bruce. Wow…such sweet memories. The beating goes on for a bit longer, mostly just Slade asking questions and Nightwing barely giving him any answers.

Nightwing perks up a bit while gasping for air, the wind having been knocked out of him, as Slade backs away and opens one of his kits, producing a needle.

"I'll make you talk once you sleep for a bit, m'kay?"

"What? Fuck off-"

Nightwing makes a face at that but Slade doesn't seem to mind, holding him down even as Nightwing tries to wiggle out of the touch. Slade chuckles a little before stabbing it into his neck, and Nightwing's vision goes black.

Dick and the others were currently living with Jason for now in Gotham with little resistance surprisingly and thankfully. He was still a bit worried about just leaving them alone in general, scared he might come home and find the with a bullet in their brain or overdosed in a bathroom or hung from the ceiling– It's not that he doesn't trust them, he does just.. he's paranoid, OK? Sue him for being worried about them when two of them decided to try kill themselves.

He was still going on patrols, that they were insistent he continued and didn't hover over them which he was not. It's not like he can just take that long of a break so he has been continuing working as Red Hood while they stay at his place.

Nothing was abnormal about today, he's tired but he isn't really badly injuried, just some bruises and a familiar ache in his muscles. When he came back to the apartment however that's when he started to worry. They weren't there, did they die? Did they run off to go kill themselves what–

After finding evidence of a break-in he tracked them down, found a warehouse where they were unconscious on the floor, beaten up and Slade was over them. From there it was a blur of attacking the man, trying to get their limp body out of the way and basically breaking the chair they were in until only the back their hands were tied to was left, fighting for his life and sustaining injuries that would probably kill anyone else, attacking and injuring Slade in ways that would have anyone else already dead.

He isn't quite sure how long they were fighting considering the fact that he didn't exactly have the time to check the time between Slade breaking his helmet and the fact he didn't get really a second to rest until finally, finally he was dead. Enough blows and cuts to the neck and other vital areas finally had the man unable to continue and at Jason's mercy. Unfortunately for Slade after probably hours of fighting this man he doesn't have any left.

Falling to his knees onto of the man he uses Slade's blade which he stole a while ago and starts cutting through the skin and meat of his neck, gasping for breath while he does so considering the fact he hasn't been able to actually stop fighting till now. His hands are shaking and he needs to take a few moments to stop just so he can breath because he feels like he'll never get enough back.

It reminds him of when he killed and decapitated all those drug lords when he first became Red Hood, how he shook but had to keep going, the tears that welled in his eyes that he couldn't let fall because he had to keep going and he might get DNA. He thinks that's the time he truely realised he had lost his humanity without anyone having to tell him or point there weapon to a target.

Now he doesn't cry, doesn't feel any guilt or sympathy because all he wants is this fucker dead for good. He'll probably end up burning the body and keep the head or skull. He finally manages to break Slade's neck and seperate the man's head from his body, rolling it away just incase and crawling over to the head, holding it in his head. He can't help but dig his fingers into the man's unseeing, dead eyes which keep fucking staring at him.

Jason forgot, however, that the other's were still here as he watched the blood seep out of the man's eye sockets like tears of blood. He also forgets how he himself is bleeding.
