despite her usually silly/air-headed demeanor, Gumi’s actually extremely empathetic and insightful. it’s hard to notice behind how bouncy and happy she is. one would assume she would glaze over how other’s feel but the reality is that she’s always taking other people’s feelings into account. when things get serious and she comes to accept it she can suddenly become very quiet and watchful.

gumi’s secretly super into otome games she  L O V E S  them. She unlocks all the routes, she dates all the boys, she buys all the sequels. It’s a problem. She can’t even pinpoint her favorite type of boy she likes all of them and could literally go on for hours about otome game plots but she doesn’t because she thinks it’s super embarrassing but because she’s played so many she’ll sometimes relate situations in real life to situations in otome games. fuckin nerd.

Neuroticsynth:

Childishly drawn to chocolate sapphires alluded themselves to gaze at the crusts filled with sweetly goodness. However he had no interest in spoiling his appetite. He had held as much of himself as he could to grasp a sense of responsibility when he made a mental note to himself that he must be much more careful with what he ate (despite food deductibles have no bearing to his weight or health). Len had a taste for something a little on the heavy side, something filling to keep his tummy happy but not enough to satisfy his hunger should there be more goodies up ahead on the long hike towards a shrine (if the food does not get them before they get to the sacred bell tower).

“Does it really matter? If you want, you can always take one of each, yeah?” he sang in a sugary-sweet mood. Though he had no intention of taking many, Len leaned towards the ones that held red bean paste. Whilst coming to a decision he tapped on Gumi’s shoulders idly before saying, “I really want the choco ones, but I guess the red bean ones are best.” A little old fashioned, but to be quite fair, Len had missed their taste for a long, long time. “Wouldn’t want to ruin your sweet tooth unless you plan on eating tons more stuff, right?” Comically Len appeared to focus more on the food itself than the trip to the shrine. In fact his latter comment seemed to imply that there would be more food coming underway. With lesser hesitation he had ordered two red bean paste filled taiyaki and immediately bit onto the tail of the first one, chomping away before whining at the warmth that emitted from them– closer to burning his tongue!!

    Silence fell upon her and for the first time in the last hour and a half Gumi stood completely still. No foot taps or absent-minded hops. The entire sight of it felt off for a girl who was constantly in motion, to her it felt just the same. Len’s choice had her reconsidering yet again. No! She must stay true to herself! His words made her laugh, if he were planning on treating her to more food, who was she to decline?

    [★]-”Ahehe, all of them? I can’t eat that many! Besides, I don’t want to fill up on just takoyaki.” She nudged him with her elbow, shooting him a grin to ensure her implication got through. After much contemplation, she ordered. One cheese filled and one chocolate filled to cover both her sweet and savory cravings. Before she could even unwrap her first steaming taiyaki Len was chowing down. Gumi couldn’t help but feel a bit left behind. Friends were supposed to enjoy delicious food together! 

    [★]-“O-Oi! Slow down! You’re going to burn yourself, you know!” She chided him with a false reason before biting into the stomach of whichever one she grabbed first. The sweet taste of warm chocolate, so familiar to her taste buds. The taste was soon replaced by the sensation of her own tongue burning, yet she forced herself to swallow her first bite. 

    [★]- “Aah, oishī.”

A small smile lights up on her features, slightly proud of her fashion sense in that moment. Gumi had a definite unique sense of style, and she did mix some interesting colors together — her VOCALOID outfit probably influenced how she dressed outside of work — but after seeing the girl clad in all types of shades of green & orange, she offered to take her shopping.

❝ There you go, you look real nice like that. Nee, you can pick out anything else if you like. S'on me, y'know? ❞

She stops for a moment, looking up at the girl before taking in what she had said. She hadn’t really thought to pick anything out for herself, the clothes piled near them were all meant to be worn by the green haired girl.

❝ I don’t know, actually. I hadn’t really thought about it .. Nee, how ‘bout you help me look? ❞

        Bingo! Now it was Gumi’s time to take control. Meiko might have underestimated her fashion sense but once Gumi got her all dressed up then she’d understand, right? The girl set out to work as soon as possible, shuffling through piles of clothes, holding them up every so often to imagine how they’d look on Meiko.

        [★]-“Ne, ne, how about this? Ah! Don’t answer that just try it on!” Energetically, she pushed a pile of indistinguishable blue fabric into Meiko’s arms before plopping to the floor and waiting patiently.

Act--01:

    [♮] “So you’re…an A.I.?” It’s not that he hasn’t heard of the concept - Rin had been raving about the technology for ages now, since she worked with various companies and recorded alongside them despite being an actual human herself. Still, the ninth year still couldn’t grasp something so complex as a singer that wasn’t breathing. If such things existed, what was the point in having Rin with Crypton at all?

    [♮] “What kind of stuff can you do?”

        [★]-“Do? Ēto . . .” It wasn’t often people recognized that she wasn’t human, let alone asked questions about it. Those blue irises on her made her straighten up anxiously. What could she do? A nervous laugh bubbled up.

        [★]-“I can do everything you can! I’m not that different from you, see?” Shedding her shyness she held up an arm for him to feel her synthetic skin; soft and warm like a human’s. This wasn’t unusual to her, oftentimes people liked to feel her to see if she passed the human test. She found herself doing it too from time to time.

gumi uses the -chi honorific for her friends (kinda like -chan) to sound fun and cute. she calls Gakupo aniki and Lily neechan and if she’s mad at either of them she’ll call them ojiisan or obaasan so they can feel old. she knows how to use respectful honorifics but, like, she only ever uses them in formal situations

          “Right, right. Here I go.” She can only hope that her friend           and co-worker wouldn’t make fun of her slurred words of the           English language. “[G-Gumi-chi is the…coolest.]”

    Gumi clapped her hands together, cheering her friend on. It was surprising that with her growing popularity IA didn’t have an english voice bank yet. She wondered what else she could make IA say in English. 

        [★]-“[ Great job ]! IA-chi is a natural! Now try saying this!: [ Get out of my face ]”
