Adam looked at the dogs and then at her. “I have two dogs, so yes, I do.” Wasn’t it obvious he did spend time in the forest when he had those two huge dogs living with him. They needed excersice and forest was a great place for them. He looked at the flower she was talking about and frowned a bit. “Didn’t know that”, he admitted, “I never studied plants.”

“Right--I never have gotten around to getting a pet yet,” she said with a giggle, glancing at the dogs quickly before looking back to him with a wide smile. “‘M havin’ a very hard time pining ya down. If ya haven’t studied plants, what do ya like to do? To study?”

“Wonderful, mon chere! The cast of Bye, Bye Birdie thanks you,” He gave the young woman a mini-bow at their table before laying out a few of the costume plans he’d already had drawn up. The high school didn’t exactly have a wide budget for the theatre production, but Lumiere would never pass up a chance to get Ro some business, “What do you think of going of of these?”

She gave another giggle as he bowed again, but quickly shuffled closer to look at the plans. “Bye, Bye Birdie, huh? We can go really colorful with this kind of show.” Roxanne smile faded just a tad as she concentrated, her eyes tracing over the pages. “I’m seeing a lot of poodle skirts and hair gel in our future, Lumiere.”

“Must be a really good smoothie then,” she said with an upward quirk of her lip. “Where’d you get it? If it’s really that good, I have to try it.” And maybe she could try to ask Anna to go with her; it felt like so long since they’d done anything together. “And no worries on the distraction, really. I think I needed it. Feels like I’m hitting a wall.”

“Oh, it really is,” she said with a small laugh. “I got it about two doors town at the little clean eatin’ shop.” Roxanne gestured vaguely down the street before glancing to the empty seat at the others table. “Well, if ya really lookin’ for a distraction, do ya want me to join ya? I’ve been told I can be very distractin’.”

“Roxanne!” Tinsley practically jumped up and down while she was gripping the table. Not quite exasperated. Yet. But a mood swing was never far off when she was this excitement. Some ideas were just not worth the wait - in the sense that they had to be heard right now because they were that great. “Hold on, let me just show you…right, here-” Rummaging through her bag, the blonde pulled out her notebook and “-ouch!” She’d caught a little paper cut as she skipped to the one page that read in big marker in the middle of a brainstorm session: ✧･ﾟ:* GROUP COSTUME IDEAS! *✧･ﾟ:*

Tinsley had always been a bit of a whirlwind, but Roxanne found it endearing. She couldn’t help but smile, but her eyes drifted to the paper cut more than the notebook. Roxanne quickly dug through her own bag, finding the bandages she’d learned to carry after being a troop leader with her little group. Once she’d opened the band-aid, she reached out and grabbed Tinsley’s hand, forcing her to let go of the notebook while she covered the paper cut. “Slow down, Tins, ya gonna give me motion sickness with how fast ya spinnin’ out! What’s the idea this time?”

“Oh, that’d be perfect!” She gushed. Marie had worked out her aesthetic fairly young and knew what she liked and what she didn’t, which normally meant ignoring style types from most people. Especially the ones who seemed to think pastels were something you couldn’t wear year-round - but Roxanne always looked like she knew how to put together a good outfit. “Party season is coming up, it would be pretty cool to see what someone else would dress in. As long as heels are involved, I can’t remember the last time I wore flats.” She giggled, before glancing down at the drink. “I’d love to, but are you sure you don’t mind? I’d hate to take even a little of something someone else clearly likes.”

“Oh believe me, I’ve got legs for days, I want to accentuate ‘em with a pair of heels!” She giggled, holding the cup out to Marie before she realized she hadn’t asked her to sit with her. “I don’t mind at all--how are ya going to know if ya like if ya don’t try it? And please, join me! I always like to have a little company when ‘m out an about in town!”

Lumiere let out a soft little laugh, he hadn’t been called ‘sugar’ since he’d last seen his secondary school girlfriend. With a little pity on Roxanne, he took his plastic spoon and scooped the fly out, now probably drowned, even though the likelihood of Roxanne continuing to drink was low, “I did wish to discuss your work, possibly doing hair and makeup for the Fall musical? Miss Iris recommended you to me!”

She eyed him as he laughed, wondering if he was laughing at her, but she didn’t mention it. Her eyes focused on poor fly for a second before his words registered and she lit up, smiling widely. “Oh, I’d love to help out the little petals! It’s been a while since I’ve done make up for a show.”

Contrary to what many people thought, Marie had always loved handing out compliments when she thought someone deserved one. Sure, sometimes she may have been hoping for a compliment back, but she was positive that didn’t make her a bad person - as long as she didn’t throw a fit over not getting one back. Something she hadn’t been overly talented at when she was younger. Which was why when she’d spotted the other - or rather their attire - she made her way over. “Oh, I just said that your outfit is super cute today. But I also wouldn’t mind finding out exactly what that smoothie is, that also looks amazing.”

Roxanne beamed as the girl complimented her, sitting up a little straighter. “Well, thank ya, darling, though I’m almost jealous of your outfit today--I might just have to ask ya to style me one day and we can do a bit of a style swap. It’d be fun, don’t ya think?” She glanced down at the smoothie before holding it out, offering it up to her to try. “It’s strawberry, cherry and kiwi. Ya wanna try?”

Elsa glanced up from her book, her concentration ruined at the question. “Not really,” she answered flatly, a moment later letting out a small breath. “I mean, sorry I was just reading to myself… guess I was reading a little louder than I thought.”

“Well then, that’s my bad too,” she said with a small giggle, setting the smoothie down on the table and looking at the other girl. “Sorry for distracting ya, but I think I got a little too caught up in my smoothie.”

“Which one is that?” bailey asked, head cocked. The woman didn’t hear him, so he sat there smiling fiddling with his straw. “Oh no, you’re fine!” He chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. “I was just wondering what flavor that was. Seems like you liked it a lot and I’m always looking for new favorites.” He beamed, sipping his soda.

She giggled for a moment before answering him, silently kicking herself for seeming so rude. “It’s strawberry, cherry and kiwi! I accidentally had this one time and I love it, so I’d say ya should try it!” After a moment, Roxanne held it out to him. “Do ya wanna try it?”

“Merely… that there seems to be a fly in your drink, mademoiselle,” Lumiere informed the girl cautiously. Perhaps he should’ve told her sooner, but he was distracted in his own work, preparing for the cafe’s open mic night he was hosting, “It’s perfectly fine, you may just want to scoop him out.”

“Oh, gross!” She dropped her cup to the table, though it thankfully stayed upright and didn’t spill everywhere. her face twisted into a slight look of disgust and she shook her head. “No, thank ya, sugar, I can’t drink it knowing a fly has been in there. If ya want it, ya can have it.”

Ah yes, once again someone who rarely came here but happened to come by on this specific day and that all would force Adam to have a conversation. He really wasn’t a fan of having conversations with strangers. Adam frowned at her worry over plants and he couldn’t help but eye around to see what kind of plants she was talking about. He didn’t see anything other than just the normal forest plants and as far as he knew forest plants didn’t need taking care off. They took care of themselves. But Adam didn’t start to question that, each on their own. “Like I said, we’re on a walk”, he replied, the dogs glancing up to him and then back to the girl.

“And do you walk here often?” Roxanne said, as if questioning why anyone else was here, though she knew he probably came here more than she did. As she asked the question, she moved to look at a nearby blueblossom bush and gently ran her fingers along the dried petals and seeds. “Ya know, this plant is considered evergreen, but the flowers on bloom twice a year.”

。·:✧:· SUNSHINE sitting high up in the sky, Lilo was glad the day was so beautiful. That meant she could spend her day outside, perhaps with some good music and someone to enjoy her day with. Upon seeing Roxanne, she was practically beaming with excitement. The girl would be an excellent person to practice her hula dancing with, at least that’s what she’d hoped. She practically bounced over to her before clasping her hands together and grinning. “Ro! I want to practice some hula dancing, but I don’t want to do it alone, so I thought you might like to join me!”

“Ohh, I’ve never done hula dancing before...” She took another sip of her smoothie, pretending to think it over before smiling widely. “Ya just might have to try and teach me how to do it, but i’d love to try it!” Roxanne stood up, placing her hand on her hip while the other held her smoothie. “When do we start?”

Roxanne was a bit distracted by her smoothie, just happy to have found a flavor she actually quite liked. She was mid-sip when she realized that someone was talking to her, causing her to raise her eyebrows and look over at them. “’M sorry, petal, I was in my own head, would ya mind repeatin’ that again?”

Jane scribbled through her book, trying her damnedest to capture the sight before her. It was only a bird, a simple finch that had tried to swipe at her fish and chips as she lounged outside the Lost Empire Restaurant. Eventually, she had conceded one of her fries in exchange for the thing staying still long enough for her to draw it. Her notebook was filled with different animals from different parts of the world. On page was a monkey, the next a giraffe. The latest additions had all been cattle and local wildlife in need of she and her father’s protection and care. Not the most exciting subjects, but still just as lovely.

She pursed her lips in concentration, her eyes darting back and forth between the bird and it’s penciled counterpart when a sudden gust of window took her off guard. The bird, startled, flew off and it seemed it took her pages with it. She stared, wide eyed, as her drawings danced in the wind for a moment before leaping into action. “Oh no, oh no, oh no!” She exclaimed, probably making a comical sight while she tried to catch the drawings fluttering around. She managed to snag a few out of the air and as she reached for the last, another gust of wind whipped it out of her hand and into an unsuspecting person a few feet away. She groaned inwardly before walking up to them sheepishly. “Hey, I’m so, so sorry about that. Didn’t expect it to be this windy out when I decided to eat outside,” Jane chuckled awkwardly, biting her lip in nervousness. “That’s, um, that would be mine, if I could just get it back, I’d be really thankful.”

Roxanne had needed a breath of fresh hair and a new scenery to help her think, so she figured she could go to the Lost Empire Restaurant, which seemed as good of an idea as anything. Just as she had made her way to the restaurant, she noticed a gust of wind scatter a few papers on the ground. Acting quickly, she moved to help the girl pick up papers, when on flew right into her. “Oh!” Roxanne laughed and pulled the paper from her shirt, holding it out to the other. “Here ya go, sugar! ‘M just glad ya didn’t lose all the papers--ya didn’t lose ‘em did ya?”

╰ · ☾ › WITH GREAT EXCITEMENT morgan threw her arms around the older girl, giving her a tight squeeze and rocking their bodies from side to side. “ why on earth would i avoid you ?? you’re nuts. “ she scoffed as though she had been offended a great deal but morph knew she was only joking. roxanne was her best friend, she couldn’t imagine a life without her in it. “ i went on a trip with my dad. he was getting cabin fever and i’m not gonna lie, i definitely needed a sunnyside break. “ she paused, shoving her hair up into a messy bun atop her head. “ i needed it though, it was a nice trip. i brought you something back! ”

“Maybe ’m a little nuts,” she said with a giggle, squeezing her a little tighter before letting Morgan go. “Break or no, ’m so glad ya back because now I can corner ya into going to lunch with me and force ya to tell me all about the trip.” Roxanne laughed again, booping her nose. “Oh, ya know i love gifts, what did ya get me?”

“I’m really sorry but do you have a phone charger with you and can I borrow it please, please, please?” She claps her hands together pleadingly as she asks the other to borrow their phone charger. She wouldn’t be so bothered by forgetting her charger if she weren’t expecting a call from one of her old roommates. If they knew she let her phone die again they’d get awfully mad. Okay not awfully mad, but they’d be disappointed which to Shiloh was far worse. “I’ll return it once my phone is at fifty percent, I promise!”

“Hey, no problem, tulip!” Roxanne pulled a charger out of her bag and handed it over with a wide smile. After a beat, she gestured to the seat across from her, the other half of the cafe table empty except for her mug. “Ya welcome to join me if ya want--I’d love the company!”
