Image of the Ring Nebula, aka M57, taken with my 10" RC telescope and a diffraction grating. The diffracted stars are all streaks but the diffracted nebula is just two blobs--the blue blob is O-III wavelength and the red blob is H-alpha.

I took this picture of Comet 103p/Hartley on the morning of October 8th as it passed almost in front of the Double Cluster.
A seriously intense thunder storm rolled through this evening.
It’s not as good as some of my earlier images of Jupiter but I like it because it shows the Great Red Spot and Red Jr. (aka Oval BA).
Wavelet image sharpening allows one to achieve image resolution twice as good as the Rayleigh criterion would suggest. Here's an example based on a recent image of Jupiter I took with my 3.5" aperture Questar.

Dusit Resort...the suites have beautiful bathrooms (the walk-in shower is behind the green glass wall)!
