The Single Christian.

We all want love. I think if there is anything in this world that ties all humans together it is the undeniable truth that we all just want someone there who is going to love us no matter what and never leave. The problem with that is that people are only human. They are always going to fail. Putting your trust and happiness fully on someone else, really isn’t fair to them or you..however; we do it anyway. That’s why people jump from relationship to relationship. They need someone to fill that void that only God can fill. God made us with a special God shaped hole..and I know he is the only one who can fill it with enough love to where we truly don’t need another human being… Now the problem with that is God is invisible. He isn’t here to physically hold us. He isn’t here to give you a hug and a kiss and tell you everything’s gonna be alright.. Now it is true that he is here in other ways..but one of the hardest parts about being a human Christian, at least for me, is the fact that I can’t physically see and touch the Lord. But now this is where faith comes in. FAITH. Oh how that word has so much importance. We have to have faith that God hears us and he will send the comforter, the Holy Spirit, to help us in times of loneliness. We have to learn to lean on Jesus before anyone else. We have to give our hearts, first and foremost to the Lord. Before any boy or girl, because I truly believe, without God you will always be empty. I pray that we all find God first in every aspect of our lives; especially when it comes to relationships. God always knows what’s best, we just have to trust.
