The compliment is nice enough I will ignore the nickname use for now. Ah, but I am one of life’s great worriers when it comes to my friends, it is a problem. True, very true. That is something at least. It was a good thing when you became my roommate.

Pretty much. I am. And thanks to you, I now sorta know my way around the school so I can explore and meet all sorts’a new people. And find out if they use the same “pet names” and colloquialisms as we do.

Every Friday I'm all yours. Course, I always am, but no other obligations to deal with. [hugs him back and doesn't let him pull too far away] I'm a dork, maybe. But I'm also okay with that. Mm cuddlin' and kissin' sounds mighty nice. I feel like we should do something more along the lines of a proper date first though. We do have all day, after all. Hows about... Laser tag? I haven't played in forever! And then we can go back to one of our rooms and the rest of it can happen. If you want, that is.

Then by all means educate me in the ways the other half live because I’ve clearly been misinformed. *grits his teeth* you know this ‘you telling me you think I’m wrong’ thing is not going down well. I’d quit while you’re ahead. *grins* You know you almost sound as if you want me to. But I’m sure there are other ways I can roughen you up. Just not entirely sure how yet. I’m still making up my mind on whether I like you or if your attitude towards everything is irritating.

Well for one, I do have a home. Granted, it's hardly better than living on the streets, but it's still a permanent residence. Two, I'm not like... a street rat with no one else. I was a foster kid--I am a foster kid, so I was bouncin' around all the time. Hence, found a family. Got none biologically, that's true enough. I'm not intentionally tryna tell you you're wrong. I'm just ... reinforming you. [shrugs] I don't, actually. I could definitely do without the added burden of fighting but if it happened, I could take you. I personally thing I'd be a great person to have as a friend, but that's just me. You'll make up your mind one way or another.

Aye, you have. And you deserve a boyfriend who is around far much more than I have been lately. So! Part of my taking a day off a week is to remedy that. A little bit. Not perfect, mind, but I'm tryin'. I don't know. I don't care, actually. We could do anything! The world is our oyster Ols and we just gotta go out and grab it or some shit I don't know the exact phrase. What do you want ta do, love?

It’s not condescending, it’s just an observation. Sorry for being brought up where people like you were hardly considered people. Street rats we got told you were. Not entirely sure you’re exactly that, but close enough. *pauses* I would bring out another belittling comment about how you can’t really aim any lower, but I’ll restrain myself. *narrows his eyes* well that’s disappointing. I would have loved to have been the first to punch.

I don't think you've got the right idea of me bein' honest, but y'know, I'm not one to change opinions. People think what they want regardless of what you tell 'em, really. [sighs] Refrain all you want, but I don't think you're right there, either. Isn't an A the highest grade you can get? An A* back home I think, but all the same. Reckon you are. That's unfortunate, really is. I didn't use ta care about family, till I got one who cared about me. [gives him a look] I'll take the A for effort, since again, not tryin'.
