"Ah! Perhaps walking would be safer, then?" Aegis asked. It could be problematic for the other unit to fall off of the bike and become damaged. Then her true identity would be even more obvious.
She nodded. "B-But I want to l-learn how to bike..." She hasn't even touched a bike until now, let alone ride one. And even though fixing her is not a problem when she's broken, it is her identity at risk. "M-Maybe she'll teach me how to..."
Naoto nods at the comment, even though she hasn’t dropped her guard since the first sound of gunfire. The focus is as exhausting as the actual fighting for her life is and she takes a moment there in the clear to draw a few deep breaths, releasing each one in a thin stream as she checks and double checks her blind spots before moving forward. “We don’t have much further to go, thankfully”
Another check and there's no more threats there. "At last." She goes on the move, realizing the bullet holes in her, which is not much of a problem as much as the fact that she took that much.
The gunfire dies down enough that they are able to move unimpeded for a moment, though Naoto is still careful, even sending one of her precious few rounds into the abdomen of a man who finishes reloading before the others. She isn’t sure what kind of damage the girl with her has taken, but feels relatively certain that the natural properties of whatever alloy she’s apparently made of are enough to prevent most damage from anything that isn’t armor piercing. Still, the condition of the walls they are walking past tells her that it isn’t only normal ammunition they are being targeted with. “When we reach safety, I believe I have more questions regarding your identity and why there are suddenly so many people in this area with guns which are rather difficult to procure here, particularly of the sort which they are using.”
"Copy." She pulls the safety, ready to fight back. While they were walking, the bullet holes came from rounds that are meant to pierce through something. They continue the trek out, in the back of her mind a worry for her friends. She scans the area and sees it clear, but there are some dropped firearms for some reason. "Tread carefully, now."
Naoto winces as a bullet comes close enough to her collar to burn it, rushing as much as she dares with armed assailants seeming to come out of the woodwork. “What have you done to turn so many men into attempted murderers?” She says the words cautiously, wanting to be heard over the gunfire, but not located by someone street level who had somehow not pin-pointed them already. Her next shot takes out the knee of a man running toward them with his finger just starting to bend beside the trigger and she hopes they’ll run out of ammo soon because she’s lucky to have a single backup moon clip of cartridges at the ready, but that doesn’t do much for a 5 shot revolver.
"Maybe because I'm here? Who knows?" She says back to the other just as those wounded survivors retreat. "Alright, the coast is clear, we must move now." She starts moving out, scanning for any possible sneak attacks, Her gun's out of ammo, but the inner pockets of her vest has a bunch of .45 clips, and while they're at it, she discards the empty clip, and takes one to put in her weapon.
At the touch of the hand against her pushing her down, Naoto finds herself quickly turned from cautious to pissed off, even despite the sudden gunfire. Bracing her back against the wall, she tracks some of the gunfire back to the top of a building and sends a bullet in that direction. Her own targeting is a skilled operation rather unlike the spray of bullets sent their way in hopes of hitting something or, rather, someone. She spots the spray of blood as she hits her target, the shoulder of the person shooting, and readies her gun for the next shot as she keeps her body low to the ground in a crouch. A bullet to the leg is something she can live through. To the torso or the head? That would be a little more difficult. She’s glad for the low light of the streetlights now that keep her pretty well masked thanks to her dark clothing. If they wanted to see her face, they could see it in the flash of her own gunfire just as she could spot them in their own now.
Of course she gets her part in the gunfire, shooting back at those jerks, and there's some more coming from the street, which she greets with bullets. She was greeted back, but it's not a big deal. Well, that's one wave, but she's prepared for a second one, as she has someone with her, and she's unlike her, in a sense.
Aegis muses over the idea of riding a bike. Would it be difficult? She wasn’t sure. In any event, she would never need such a thing to travel more quickly. She was an android after all.
"I hope they enjoy it," Aegis says, admiring the painted metal on the bicycle.
"Th-Thank you." She smiled at the other. She looked at the bike, "I'll probably j-just fall off when I r-ride this..." After all, biking's faster when she needs to go to school, since she doesn't want to show she's an android.
The main street edges them toward a building and Naoto’s eyes narrow. The safest path is one that gives them options and traffic cut off far too many for her comfort. At her companion’s words, she nodded and gestured down one of the alleys that divided the block. “A straight path would expedite our removal from this situation, but the necessity for avoiding danger here seems to dictate a slightly less direct route. Please keep me apprised of your findings.”
"No problem." She scans the surroundings and the number of goons out to get them increased. This is no sudden occurrence, she thought to herself, they are out foe someone, most probably herself. She sees that those visible are now on the ready. "Down!" She screamed and gets the other down on the ground as soon as it rained bullets.
Raising one eyebrow in question of anyone else’s untested competence, Naoto nodded anyway. This was not a job at the moment, merely a mission she’d undertaken. As such, the only goals were the ones she’d given herself. “I’ll take point. Please keep yourself aware of the area around you, but follow me.” She gestured the girl forward and readied her weapon once more as she turned, eyes scanning the horizon and darting up to the rooftops. The rapidity of the gunfire made the assailant group unlikely to have snipers as well, but it was best not to rule anything out. With that block clear to her own comfort, Naoto began to walk forward at a quick pace, eyes still moving to check new areas as they appeared in her sightline.
She follows the other, her gun ready to shoot back. She scans possible intruders, as no face she detected were familiar. The trek continues, and she scans their location and detected gunmen on the ready, they're not who she expected. And she's hearing footsteps from where they went "We should be careful now, I believe they are behind us."

Ema winced upon seeing the girl’s arm twitch. I wish I could help her… She dialed the number quickly. “Hello?” She pressed her hand to the phone and turned to face her. “What should I tell them?”
The only voice from the other side is asking for voicemail.
"Umm... M-Maybe t-tell them I'm b-broken? I dunno..."
"Safe?" Naoto shook her head. "If there are assailants coming after you, there’s no such thing as safe as long as you are where they might gain access." She checked an incoming message on her phone. "Police are inbound from the north and the gunfire is moving from west to east. We’re to the south right now, so I suggest we skirt the perimeter of the block and attempt to exit toward the east. We should avoid most enemy fire that way. Are you able to move of your own will?" She still wasn’t certain of the nature of her new acquaintances, but this was not an area to attempt to ascertain it.
"Sorry, I am just quite confident about some of my acquaintance, but that should not be the matter." She put down her gun but it's still held on one hand. "Yes, I am able to move of my own will," She paused for a while, but continues anyway. "Shall we?"
"Neither of those is a situation I wish to see continue. This is not a safe area. It is best if we retreat for the moment. Are there others with you who would likewise be under attack?" Naoto pulled out her phone, sending a quick text to local police to alert them of her location within the area of the firefight and further inquiring about what was being done to track down the assailants.
"They have sought refuge, but I think they are scattered." She answered. "Nevertheless, they are safe, unless they decide to ransack said buildings."

"Does he have a phone number?" Ema picked up the phone and looked expectantly at the girl. "What is his name?"
"I-I dunno... B-But I know his n-number..." She states the said phone number, her broken arm twitched a bit
"State your affiliation," Naoto said with a narrowing her eyes. "You pulled a gun on me first and there is still a gunfight going on in the area. I need to know how you’re involved. I can either help you or I can arrest you."
"I am currently not affiliated with anyone or anything. I am either caught in a crossfire or the very target."
Her gun not moving, Naoto settles her shoulders as she looks at the figure in front of her. There are several gunshot wounds already present, but no blood. Perhaps she was like Labrys? It would potentially explain the code she gave with her name that brought forth no reference to Naoto’s mind. “Shirogane Naoto. Consulting detective currently on a case for the Nagoya Police Department. Do you have a permit for that gun?”
"Yes, I do have a permit for this gun." She elaborated the basic info of the gun's permit. "Are you satisfied or do I need to say more?" She tilted her head, and her arms not even moving an inch.

It was a traveling day; one of those interminable days between flying in from another country and being able to start on another case. She’d stopped on the way back between trains to grab something to eat. After finishing her food, she expected to head back to the station to grab the next train. Things had taken a decidedly different turn.
The first gunshot had taken her by surprise. The second had sent her on the chase for the gunman. Further combat noise had alerted her to the existence of several gunmen. The volley of gunfire had caused her enough alarm to pull her own revolver out, her finger pulling the trigger just enough to pull back the hammer, readying for the second pull to send a shot where it needed to go.
There was a figure crouched only meters away and a gun is pulled on her. She leveled the barrel of the gun toward the figure, taking in the other details of the scene. “Identify yourself.”
Surely she won't die anyway, but the question must be answered. Also, she's currently in battle mode, any other time she won't answer easily, or clearly, for that matter. He fingers on the ready, she answers, "Fukami Yasashi, RT 191. Now identify yourself."

"This is…extremely complicated circuitry…" Ema gasped as she looked at the girl’s back. "Are you entirely composed of electrical components?"
Don’t ask such stupid questions, Ema. Can’t you see she’s in pain?
"I’m sorry. I think I should probably call in an expert. Do you know of anyone who can help you?"
She nodded. "Y-Yes..." to her first question. To the other, she answers. "Umm.. I-I know someone... B-But I don't kn-know if I could c-contact him..."
