within andre: some sort of internal/base indifference but everything else (product of surroundings) pushes toward speedrunning? say we follow the model of sidi-id, ego-ego, soup-superego. sidi doesn't quite care about speedrunning the way the others seem to, the unconscious internal/"animal" bits, whereas soup is policing the speedrun and always monitoring time and things like that i need to refer back to the video itself ok??
and ego mediates, looks for a balance between each, the closest to the surface of consciousness (though according to freud supposedly ego is still just within preconscious) but this may be where conzer comes in? if we follow the theory of conzer-consciousness, because the id-ego-superego is all within pre- and unconsious, conzer is the one who is at the surface. and conzer and ego, the closest to the surface, seem to be the only ones able to (or at least the only ones who DO) create clips.
According to Freud, the ego, in its role as mediator between the id and reality, is often "obliged to cloak the (unconscious) commands of the id with its own preconscious rationalisations, to conceal the id's conflicts with reality, to profess...to be taking notice of reality even when the id has remained rigid and unyielding."

and "driven by the id, confined by the superego, repulsed by reality" from the same wikipedia article. struggles to bring about harmony between the three forces. wonder if i can find evidence for the reality as the third force because it's already said about sidi-soup mediating
think about the ego's ties to reality and memory ... honestly just read that whole article's segment on the ego it's so interesting to think about. maybe minecraft videos really are the way to spark curiosity and educate the masses. that's how the king in yellow gained increasing fame after wifies's duology, after all. BUT I DIGRESS.
but y'know what i think is really interesting is that supposedly sidi seems to be able to speak directly to andre. which kind of goes against the sidi = id = unconscious bit, but at the same time could just be an extension of sidi's power. just, like, as a device to show how sidi stands apart.
OHO OH OH OH AND I FORGOT TO SAY that whole bit about y'know. sidi is unmutable by the admins somehow, something about how the intrinsic urges cannot be muted, have power in a way the conscious doesn't. hi oneshef. are you a psych student of some sort and you really just liked freud? he was a little freak from what i've heard but that's not the point.
also what i read about the superego essentially being perfectionistic moral compass at work is interesting ...
only half-related but i have to say. the system interpretations with andre as a headmate, specifically host, seems. i don't know what to say. i've always thought of andre as the collective body within this, but who knows hmmm
oh also i wonder if there is any significance to the. numbers. soupbegone31, feargeyt6774, stuff like that. i assumed andrew2002 was to. make it seem like a year of birth. but who knows exactly there might be some stuff outside of that (oh and thinking about the year being 2018? timewise context)
