@robot-whump
"stop coming back here"
Now draw him vulnerable and slightly disheveled in a suit
“I’d kill you if my programming allowed it.”
“I know you would. That’s the beauty of it all. No matter what I do to you, you’ll always be compelled to protect me from harm.”
painful maintenance. robot whumpees who are too scared to tell anyone what hurts because they don't want to be taken apart again. they don't want the restraints, the forced shutdowns, the pain, it hurts so much--until there's so many errors in their vision, they can't stay on their feet any longer.
thinking about whumpees who were taken because they’re useful
they can make something no one else can. could be a map, could be a spell, the possibilities are endless...
they’re a walking dictionary for something niche. maybe they’re the only one in the world who can translate a lost book, or they understand a certain kind of tech better then anyone who took them
they have something physical that makes them appealing. maybe they have a rare blood type or immunity to something that makes them a perfect specimen
they're particularly entertaining. maybe they can sing, dance, narrate... other things. plenty of opportunities :)
maybe they're just leverage, plain and simple. all they need is to stay with whumper and they'll be kept alive.
with that in mind, how does whumper treat them?
are they oh so careful? do they try to avoid letting whumpee know they can’t leave? do they treat them like royalty, providing them with food, a bed, all the comforts they could ask for?
are they perhaps a bit less careful, reminding whumpee they’re expendable (even if they’re not)? where can whumper hurt them so whumpee can still do what they were taken for?
do they keep them wherever its convenient with no regard for their comfort? maybe they simply forget about whumpee when they're not needed... oh no :)
does whumpee give whumpee the resources they need, or are they forced to work with limited supplies and make a product up to whumpers standards or face the consequences?

dehumanization tropes i love
-not allowed on furniture. remain standing or kneel on the floor, no sitting
-not allowed to make eye contact
-being silenced immediately every time they try to speak
-casual manhandling, being dragged alone because they’re not trusted to move by themselves
-casual, nonconsensual touch. randomly pulling them closer, absently playing with hair, manually adjusting their posture
-giving orders without explanation
-giving orders they know are arbitrary, just to exercise power
-talking about them like they aren’t even in the room
-authorizing other people to monitor and control them
-being kept in restraints 24/7, with movement restricted even further in their downtime
-degrading their natural behaviors and reflexes. stare is creepy, smile is ugly, flinching is disrespectful, etc…
-putting down their hobbies/interests
-ascribing ill intent to all their actions and assuming the worst from them

Robot whump!
- Whumper asking Caretaker what they'd do to get a specific part they need to repair Whumpee.
- The Team entering Whumper's lair, ready to get their android back. "FriEnds..." they hear, above them. And they look up and they see Whumpee, maybe not entirely whole, dangling by the neck on a noose. "TurN... Back..."
- Caretaker repairing the android. "You are crying," it says. Caretaker continues working and just nods. "...Why?"
- Whumper hacking the android and reprogramming it, marking its own team members as 'enemies'. Then sending it back :3
- Whumpee overheating trying to help their team to escape.
- Android Whumpee 'hiding' 'injuries': turning off its warnings. "What's that red light?" Caretaker might ask. And Whumpee just turns it off going all, "Probably an error."
- Whumper being all callous, going, "fuck, just get another android. They're replaceable for a reason!" And Caretaker going Apeshit™
robot whumpee trying to fix itself before shutting down
The whumper knew exactly how to change the whumpee’s programming, and they knew how to make them experience pain for the first time. Seeing someone that hadn’t ever known physical pain reacting to torture for the first time just made the whumper so satisfied with themselves.
you know that whole thing about coca cola cleaning rust? that but for robot whumpee.

Caretaking Prompt List: Robotic Whumpee
Replacing the ocular lenses in Whumpee wasn't necessarily the easiest task, but Caretaker continued through the delicate process with a satisfied smile. Soon whumpee could see the world again through sight. Soon whumpee could see Caretaker.
"I can't move my right arm." Whumpee robotically answered to Caretaker's inquiry. After a few hastened seconds of tinkering, they prompted, "Try now."
"This is a real mess whumpee..." Caretaker lamented looking over the mangled half-dismantled robot. They forced on a smirk. "Don't worry. It'll be nothing for me."
"I won't charge you." Caretaker explained to the robot impatiently, hoping to speed of the time they both spend together in the shop. The robot turned over its arms, analyzing the workability of each new part.
"I like it." There was almost sadness in the artificial voice as they spoke, but their body language expressed immense joy. The mirror reflected back a shinier, cleaner, version of them- And yet it was still them. Caretaker entered the reflective picture, admiring their work.
"I thought you couldn't feel pain-" Caretaker's voice had been strained by the amount of strength they were putting into their arms, trying to locate the off switch amongst the mass of wires and components.
