Hey I know Ive made jokes along the lines of “where was hozier the whole time between albums” and those are fun but I’ve seen a lot of people being actually angry about his alleged “silence” between albums and take the joke too far and the fact is not only is a person entitled to a break between their work, but he’s actually a really huge activist for reproductive and housing rights in Ireland and the entire time was very vocal about his participation in and support of those causes so he actually was never silent, he just wasn’t putting out new music, and the jokes about him sleeping under a log are funny, but it’s just really weird when y'all start tweeting @ this artist demanding music and claiming he’s doing nothing when he’s dedicated so much of himself to some really important movements so. Just some thoughts about feeling entitled to an artist’s time and life to keep in mind.
