I'm choosing Abigail because I feel like she needs more love.

Life dealt her a terrible hand, yet she delivered integral intelligence to a side that never had her best interests. And when they tried to make her an official spy she was like NOPE I've got to worry about myself and my son, and honestly, she didn't owe the Patriots anything.

She's so smart and caring and I just love her ❤

Turn Week 2021, Favorite AU - Abigail reunited with her family

This isn’t exactly an AU since they did film this aspect, but we...just never got to see it. For whatever reason, the scene with Abigail and the little girl she adopted in Nova Scotia with Akinbode and Cicero was cut from the finale. That this didn’t make it on screen is one of my biggest disappointments when it comes to Turn. It would’ve been a truly beautiful, beautiful moment to include with Abe’s ending monologue as the show came to a close. Abigail deserved a send off that saw her free and at peace with her loved ones. 

In Idara Victor’s words from her Instagram: “I know many of you questioned whether or not Abigail made it, and I just want to assure you, as one of our writers morganicink confirmed last night, that she did (hence the coded letter). I admit, I was just as shocked and horrified as you for a second, as we did shoot a larger ending, including the addition of a little girl to the family, the talented skyla_ilece, whose beautiful work you saw in that cart. And here you have it, proof of our happy reunion, on the show and in real life.”

This is 100% canon to me and always will be, but I just really, really wish it was inarguably canon in the show.

turn week 2021, favorite ship - abraham woodhull & robert townsend

(a modern au) robert townsend has known abe for years. the successful owner of a local coffeeshop woodhull often frequents in their sleepy seaside town, robert has grudgingly come to tolerate - if not secretly value - the man’s presence.

he’s watched abe weather too many tumultuous moments in his life: the death of his brother, the amicable divorce from his wife mary, the birth of his son, the pressure placed on his shoulders to follow in his father richard’s lawyerly footsteps. through it all, robert offers support in snarky conversations and chess games...along with the occasional reluctant offer to babysit. they’re friends, robert tells himself. that’s all there is to it.

and yet as abe comes into his own, breaking with his father and pursuing his lost mother’s old dream of running a small organic farm instead, robert finds himself drawn in ways that aren’t strictly platonic. furious with his own feelings, he buries them down deep, oblivious to the fact that abe’s been carrying a torch for him from the day they first met.

what robert doesn’t realize, though, is that as stubborn as he is, abe’s a match for that and more. and once abe gets the slightest indication that his crush could be mutual - he pursues his hopes of a relationship until robert at last confronts what he’s for so long repressed.

My usual answer would be Caleb but he gets plenty of love on this blog and I felt as though these two fit the spot for today.

Anna and Ben have many similarities in personality and motivation, they’re both passionate, idealistic, and willing to risk everything for what they believe in. Together they push Abraham to take his place in the ring and keep the fire under him by showing him their own passion and commitment to the cause. Throughout the series we see both of them make major personal sacrifices and, frankly, take quite a beating in their own journeys for justice, victory, and ultimately peace.
