Lotsa art openings in the Cleve tonight! I went to two, then home because I was very hungry. Now I am engorged with salad. Anyway, I stopped at the Cleveland Print Room to check out the work of Blessing Ngobeni, who is the current Cleveland Foundation Creative Fusion artist from Tzaneen, South Africa. His work is really good and his artist statement was actually interesting and well written! Gasp! Then I stopped by Spaces. They are doing some shows related to the RNC, so you could say that the show is just starting and will play out over time. I’m glad somebody’s doing a political show. Museums are always too afraid to be overtly political, even though most of the staff is liberal as fuck (except the super Catholic rhythm method IT guy I used to work with. He had a million sons and loved Applebees. He sucked).
