Ebony-R has been one of my favorite Philly street artists for many years… he’s not particularly prolific, but his style is unmistakable and I always feel happy when I see his stuff. I’ve also been lucky enough to find a few of his zines etc. over the years. I met him once at 3 or 4 am in a kinko’s. This past Friday I was selling some copies at first Friday (sort of a monthly art event in Philly where galleries open, but of course the best art is sold on the sidewalks outside the galleries) and he happened to be selling little paintings etc. right across the alley! I traded a drawing of mine for this one. I am ecstatic to have one of his in my art collection!
