Get Glasgow Moving
Aims
-To make buses, subway, trains and bikes work together as one network to provide seamless journeys for us all.
-Properly planned bus routes, coordinated timetables and one simple ticket with an affordable daily price cap.
Get Glasgow Moving is a grassroots public transport campaign founded in 2016 by local people.
We agreed to adopt the constitution below at our first annual general meeting on 8 January 2019.
The constitution entrusts the day-to-day running of the campaign to a volunteer Management Committee of 3-14 people drawn from our membership.
Membership is open to any individual who supports the campaign’s objectives (as defined in the constitution below) or to affiliate organisations.
In 2019 we received funding from the foundation for integrated transport which enabled us to redesign our website and employ our campaigner, Rebecca Menzies, who worked with us from July 2019 – April 2020.
Lighting Up The Dark
Research
Tim Simmons
Tim is a landscape photographer who focuses on the details. He has had his work shown several times at Groundwork over the years. He has also has recently released a book called ‘Place In Time’ in 2020, with the help from Judith Stewart who edited it and Dewi Lewis who published it.
I like the mystery Tim shows in his images, the mystery of what could be lurking in the dark that could pop out at us at any moment. Tim has inspired me to try focusing a lot of light on one area making it stand out. The trees create leading lines that draws the viewers eye through the image.

This was my first time I tried this and the problem I discovered was my new camera was too heavy for my tripod so it kept sliding down however I made it work.

Zine
A photo zine is a self-published, often handmade collection of photographs laid out in a magazine style. It can include written text and illustrations as well as photos. They are designed to display and share photo stories. A photo zine can be a single, one-off publication.
Zines were first created in the science fiction fandoms of the 1930s, taking their name from fanzine, which is short for “fan magazine.” Long before the advent of the Internet, zines allowed fans to create networks, share ideas and analyses, and collaborate on writing and artwork.
The very first zine dates back to May of 1930 in the USA. A little publication called The Comet was first created by the Science Correspondence Club. The letter section of the zine was a prominent feature, where fans discussed science as well as science fiction.

Behind The scenes
Glassware
Experiment
I started with experimenting with a pink gin bottle and using paper with different shapes to created a patterned shadow.
Contact Sheet
I did not like this as I wanted more colour in mine and to achieve a better photo I would of liked to have a pink liquid in the bottle for the bottle to be full as well as having some colour to my image to look more appealing. This was a good starting point as it got me to see what I did like and what I didn't like and how I can improve.
Shoot 2
I decided to use a brown/green tarp sheet as my backdrop as it gave a more of a rustic look that ties into the brown in the bottle of Captain Morgan. To continue to stay in theme of the rustic, neutral colours I used a wood slab to set my bottle on and also create a leading line that draws the viewers eye through the image.

Set Up
Final
This shoot was very successful as I got amazing photos. To take these images I had a tarp sheet for my backdrop and my beer bottle set up on a slab of wood. I had a cut out bottle shape out of paper propped behind the beer bottle to light the liquid up more.

Contextual Task – Rankin Fashion Programme
Erwin Blumenfeld was born on the 26th of January 1897, he was an American photographer whom was born in berlin and emigrated to the states where e became a very successful and well paid fashion photographer. Erwin worked as a freelance photographer for Harper’s Bazaar and American Vogue.
Erwin started his life in Germany where he worked in the clothes trade and wrote poetry. IN 1918 Erwin went to Amsterdam where he met Paul Citroen and George Grosz. In 1933 he made a photomontage showing Hitler as a skull with a swastika on its forehead which was later used as propaganda material in 1943.
He married Lena Citroen, with whom he had three children, in 1921. In 1922 he started a leather goods shop, which failed in 1935. He moved to Paris, where in 1936 he set up as a photographer and did free-lance work for French vogue. After the outbreak of the Second World War he was placed in an internement camp; in 1941 he was able to emigrate to the United States. There he soon became a successful and well-paid fashion photography, and worked as a free-lance photographer or Harpers Bazaar, Life and American Vogue.

Jessica Kobessi
Jessica is an American photographer from Detroit she has been active since 2012, she does fashion/ portrait photography. She started uploading to YouTube in 2013 these videos she shows her equipment, her skills and hr lifestyle. She started at art school to do what she loved which was graphic design. 2 years after she graduated she stated perusing photography professionally full time.
Jessica uses a Canon 5d mark 4 with a 24-70mm lens, this lens is very versatile meaning she can use it in all different kind of photography. She also used her 35mm and a 50mm which has a shallow depth of field which she likes to use at wedding shoots.
I think Jessica’s images are a lot different from Erwin’s photography’s as Jessica’s has more of a flow between the clothing the models has on and the lighting used to light them. Erwin’s images is more of an abstract feel. I prefer Jessica’s images as it is more eye catching to me and brighter.

Wait For It
found that both my shoots were very successful, and I was able to complete the brief I enjoyed this brief as I have found that I really enjoy street photography. In this photo I was able to successfully light up my subject from the display window in a shot. I also found a person with similar colour top and a umbrella which I found complimented this image very nicely and draws the viewers eye towards the subject.
