Seeing Anberlin for the last time, really got me thinking. About how different my life would have been if I didn’t accidentally discover this band. I lost a job (contract) because I decided to follow them around on tour. I fell in love and travelled across the world to be with someone who worked for them. I met numerous of people who I call friends, through Anberlin, I literally doubt I would be here in Brisbane, with Luke, If this hasn’t all happened. It is literally crazy to think that someone like Luke having nothing to do with Anberlin. But without Anberlin, I wouldn’t have met Reid. Without Reid I wouldn’t have become upset over a downhill relationship, and distracted myself by meeting new people and going out most nights of the week. Without doing that, I wouldn’t have met Luke. I met Luke towards the end of my relationship with Reid, I unexpected and unintentionally met someone amazing. And almost 3 years later. Here we are. Standing backstage watching Anberlin play songs from the past 9 years of my life. I was ready to pack my things and move somewhere new like Melbourne. Start all over again. But instead, I’m still in Brisbane. I’m working towards a future with the man, I love. A home, dogs and whatever comes next.
