The Poison Garden
Established in 2005 by the Duchess of Northumberland. The garden contains over 100 deadly and hallucinogenic plants.Â
âI wondered why so many gardens around the world focused on the healing power of plants rather than their ability to kill⊠I felt that most children I knew would be more interested in hearing how a plant killed, how long it would take you to die if you ate it and how gruesome and painful the death might be.â

Itâs Handfasting Season
Handfasting is on the rise for couples who are looking to tie the knot.Â
I saw that some of you lovely people were getting married, so here are some tips on handfasting ceremony.Â
Plan as far ahead as you possibly canâŠespecially if you are writing your own vow and such. This creates less stress on you and the clergyman.Â
Consider how long your ceremony is. If you want elderly and children involved then half an hour to an hour should suffice otherwise you might want to consider chairs.
If you want a circle keep in mind how big your space may need to be. Calling the corners, dancing and spinning need a lot of space.Â
If you want to have your ceremony outdoors-fantastic. Many pagans and wiccan do this, however, parks may need a reservation or paper work might need to be done.Â
Respect the public space you might be in. If no food or open flames are allowed try a different place or hold the reception else where that accommodates this.Â
Having non-pagan/wiccan friends to the ceremony, prep them what may or may not be happening. Let them know that they donât have to do anything that makes them uncomfortable. Itâs a good idea that if you are doing a circle to have chairs just outside so they can watch instead.
So, many blessings in the years that come in your newly partnered life.
Blessed Be!

Marriage is not always happiness and love and unicorns and rainbows. Sometimes itâs fighting with each other, bickering all day long, and tears. Sometimes itâs lonely and full of missing your person, and not seeing them for weeks or months and not hearing their voice for extensive amounts of time. Marriage is commitment. To stay, even when things are at their lowest. To love them even when you canât stand them. To try again, when you feel like you have no more energy to try left. Marriage doesnât end when you donât feel in love anymore. Marriage is something that was meant to be a lifetime commitment no matter what, and so when you stop feeling in love with that person, you remember why you married them, and you try again.
