Kathleen Vance will discuss her work, including her site-specific installation that recreates a segment of the Brandywine River on the core wall of the Museum’s atrium. Vance will share insights about projects that connect people to aspects of nature that are overlooked or underappreciated. Vance creates miniature landscapes inside vintage suitcases and trunks. The bucolic scenes harken to a place out of time and a romanticism of nature, with lush foliage and flowing streams.

ROCKELMANN& is proud to announce a new group exhibition curated by AK5 with works by Yasmin Alt, Nadja Schütt and Leonard Traynor, that will take patrons from the reality of physical realities and into a post-apocalyptic landscape. The digital revolution of contemporary technologies and social development have caused massive shifts in the way Western society interprets our sense of being and belonging. While social media and its advancements are more often than not viewed as the ultimate tool to globalize and link peoples across the planet, it has also led to an extreme sense of alienation. TRACES seeks to reinterpret and break down our personal relationships between our „real selves“ in the physical world and the ways in which we have recreated ourselves in online platforms and the digital landscape that we can no longer escape. Before the holiday season goes into full swing and we take a bit of a pause please stop by for a last minute visit to take in our current exhibition, my tether is clipped. With works by Yasmin Alt, Zachary Fabri and Ben Harle, we warmly welcome you to take a gloomier yet pragmatic look at life and death before your upcoming week of holiday cheer and the new beginnings which always follow.

To our patrons and friends in Chicago we are excited to announce that we will be seeing you sooner than later this month at EXPO CHICAGO 2017!

We will proudly present the works of gallery stable artists Zachary Fabriand Kathleen Vance in Booth 753 as part of EXPOSURE. Our two-man presentation entitled TRESPASS will take a critical look at the idea of power and travel.
