The Great American Melodrama!

Music, dancing, comedy, yummy nibbles, great beer and wine margaritas - you get it all at the Great American Melodrama. A yummy, traditionally humorous, and cultural experience - the Melodrama is a simply perfect way to spend an evening with your friends and family. Whether it is story-telling you enjoy, sing-a-longs, stand-up, snacks, or perhaps you're treating your friends and family to a good night, the Great American Melodrama will take care of all your needs while emphasizing a very melodramatic and comedic atmosphere.

So, what’s this all about? First,  chose between different levels of seating and purchase your ticket After that, take your seat, relax, and laugh out loud as the Melodrama’s ever so talented actors and actresses perform skits, songs, and plays (typically focused on tickling the funny bone). Featuring new styles of story-telling and comedy, seasonal and random, the Melodrama serves a selection of domestic and local beer, wine or wine margaritas, and a wide range of grub including nachos, soft pretzels, pulled pork sandwiches, baked potatoes and more.

Located at 1836 Front Street in Oceano, California, the Melodrama has a wonderfully fun and charismatic team of actors and actresses of all ages. The crew lines up at the bottom of the stage every night at the end of a performance and provides an opportunity for questions, compliments, pictures, or handshakes. Each member of the team provides a great deal of time and dedication to the job, sometimes exhausting 12-hour days for show preparation and rehearsal, says young actor and performer Alex Sheets. However, these actors and actresses love what they do, and they do not fail to let that shine through in all their performances. The Melodrama truly provides pleasureful and engaging performances in a family-friendly and melodramatic manner. The Great American Melodrama is a definite MUST for San Luis Obispo county citizens.
