Let's give visibility to the creators who are putting in the effort.
Recently, the boy @rodrifelix99 launched an amazing launcher where creators can upload their mods. Link: https://thesimsmodmanager.web.app/ It’s compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux. I ask you all to share and repost this—the work is incredible, and it supports every platform. The launcher looks great, and you can upload your own mods, which serves as a showcase for your Tumblr pages. I’m truly grateful and wish Rodri all the success in the world for creating such an amazing platform for us The Sims creators.
I'll be uploading some mods there from now on.
Do you make any cc for sims or just mods managers ? Also thank you for joining The CC Corner!!
Thanks for having me! Just the mod manager for now, no CC yet. I’ve been going through YouTube tutorials to pick up CC creation though. I already know a good chunk of the file formats in theory since reading them properly is what makes the manager work in the first place, but actually building cc from scratch is still new to me. Hopefully soon I’ll have some of my own CC to share too :)
I make a mod manager for The Sims. It's free and open source. No ads, and I don't make a cent from it. I work on it after my actual job. Every time it gets posted somewhere, the same thing happens. Within the hour there's a thread where people have already decided a machine wrote it. I wrote a whole post about AI last week. Where I use it, where I refuse to, and why vibe coding is a terrible idea for a tool that moves your files around. It's a few posts down from this one. Not one person who has called me dishonest has read it. The vicious DMs I can shrug off. It's the polite ones I keep re-reading. "This looks amazing, but I uninstalled it because I don't trust the dev." There's nothing I can say back to that, and no version of the app fixes it. I answer bug reports at midnight from people who are lovely. Then I open my inbox in the morning and there's a list of strangers telling me what kind of person I am. I'm not asking anyone to trust me. If you don't want it on your machine, don't install it. That's completely fine and I mean it. But there's a difference between not installing something and coming to my inbox to tell me I'm a fraud. I don't know how long I keep doing this. That isn't a threat and I'm not taking anything down tonight. The app works and it'll keep working, and the next update is already half written. I just didn't want to keep pretending this part is fine.
Hello, I'm wanting to know do you have a sims blog or a place to reblog your mods manager for others to see?
Hii! Yes there is, just created it :) https://www.tumblr.com/thesimsmodmanager
