i just finished reading Don Malarkey’s book Easy Company Soldier, and Malark writes soso many good quotes and poetry and prose in general, but for some reason this highlighted part here really struck a chord with me! so i wanted to share it<3
The worst singer up in the Bulge was Ralph Spina. He couldn’t sing a note. He sang like South Philly Willy. He thought he was Mario Lanza. He said, “Well, I come from his neighborhood.” I said, “Well, you ain’t got his voice!” When he started to sing we all yelled, “Will you shut the hell up!”

I didn’t even know his first name. . . . I think about Miller a lot. He was just a kid.”
i really liked james mcavoy's inclusion in band of brothers. he just came on that set, served mr pretty face, got bullied by cobb of all people, and died tragically only to never be mentioned again
