The lyrics to "The Greatest" (written by Sia) are much more than just stamina. The song is actually about the LGBTQ+ community. In June 2016, Orlando Florida, at a gay nightclub, there was a shooting that occured . Investigation shows that this shooting gang were a bunch of homophobic people trying to get rid of the gays. 49 people died that night. There are 49 children in the music video that represent the victims
There's a scene in the music video where Maddie Ziegler (the main dancer in the video) puts paint trails on her face of different colors.
The song was released in September 30th 2016 and never won a Grammy because some homophobic people decided it was too "weird" for the public.
The holes on the wall in the next gif represent the gun shooting caused by bullets
The song today has over 730mil views on YouTube and still counting. Sia said that she came out as queer.
