When I started shipping or if I ship it — OTP. For the moment, anyway, it tends to fluctuate. I first started shipping it after Yukino’s excommunication; Rogue seems very bothered about the guild’s morals and begins questioning it, only to find no one else saw the injustice. It could just be his kind heart, but, along with Frosch’s obvious soft spot for her — there had to be something, right?
My thoughts — I adore this ship. Not only is there the Dragon Slayer and Celestial Mage combination, but there’s so much about each of them the compliments the other. For example, their colour schemes contrast entirely. Although that may mean naught to anyone else, to me it seems as if Mashima was playing with the whole Light and Darkness, innocence (note that Yukino’s name means innocence/purity) and evil (future Rogue, the shadows and darkness etc). To me, it just makes sense, and though it’s only a ship, I think they’d be like Yin Yang, and balance one another out.
What makes me happy about them — A lot of the aforementioned: their contrasts are what makes the ship so interesting. The idea that she’d bring the purity and support he needs to prevent the future to come, and him: mending what damage their guild and her life prior to joining Sabertooth had dealt.
What makes me sad about them — Once again, I’m not too sure. Should the future play out as Future Rogue said it would, then she would either be six feet under or living a dreadful life of fear and suffering. And of course, the one she loves is to blame.
Things done in art/fic that annoy me — I’ve yet to come across Rokino fan art or fics that have annoyed me, though I think that’s partially due to the lack of Rokino.
Things I look for in art/fic — I’d adore to see/read some awkward Rokino. Namely because both seem to conceal a lot of feelings within them, and much embarassment would be brought fourth upon confessing those feelings. That, and once again, angst. Helping each other with troubled pasts and futures of despiar.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other — I’d ship both with Sting, and Rogue with Minerva, should this one not pan out.
My happily ever after for them — For both to be able to live the quiet, peaceful life they truly have earned, with Frosch and Rokino babies. Of course, they’d start off with many exciting missions and journeys both together and with the guild, but I think they’d aim to settle down and have a family in the long run.
