So!! Hello!!! I went to the theater today to hang out with my old BYT buds, and I think at least 1 person missed me. HOWEVER Both Roy and Suzann (the tutor & founder) were super happy to see me back aaah.
So I honestly thought they'd like, kick me out as soon as they went down to the studio to do their class bUT Suzann was like, "you're staying for the whole thing right?" and i was like. I don't know.
Anyway, I ended up staying, I told Roy and Suzann how much I appreciate them for helping me so much last year with my confidence and just. Idk I can't really thank them enough because they've literally changed my life for the better. Also I made cupcakes for Roys birthday and everyone absolutely loved them.
AND NOW. Onto the exciting part.
I'm hopefully gonna start volunteering there!!! I'm way too busy with college performances to start another, because we're working on 2 performances in college, as well as a dance and songs and that's all overwhelming enough for me, so I don't really need another performance to worry about. Anyway! They were both like "YEAH YOU should volunteer that'll be absolutely lovely" SO! This week maybe I'll be getting an email and hopefully in a week, two weeks time I'll be going back and helping out and get to see everyone at the same time and it'll be so great and I'm so excited because while I was there I realised how much I'd really missed it and really missed everyone and I'm so excited to work with everyone again because they are truly amazing, wonderful people, so I really hope this is a thing that happens.
so tomorrow, im planning on going to the broadway theatre to visit byt. i never really told them i was leaving, although im like 100% sure they've already figured it out. but the tutor there, roy, really helped me so much last year, and without him i probably wouldve never gone back to college, and i really wanna say thank you to him for helping me overcome so much - to the point i've been able to go back to college and actually stick with it. but the main reason im going is for closure, i think. i've been thinking about it all week, and i keep seeing it all on facebook and twitter, and i just wanna say thanks, and wish everyone a great show, because they're doing one in february, and i really hope it goes well for them.
im a little mad at myself for not sticking with it, but i don't think i regret it, because there's a lot of stuff we're doing at college, like we're gonna be doing a show for a two night run, and also we're working on something with the barbican - i mean we havent started either yet, but with that, on top of /another/ performance they're doing at byt, i think will be too much for me to handle at the moment.
but im kinda looking forward to seeing everyone, thanking roy for everything hes done for me, but im also super nervous because there are gonna be people there i don't really know and they're probably gonna be like haha who's this loser.
anyway. yeah. i hope roy is there, and i hope it all goes well, and doesn't turn out really awkward. because that would suck.
Hello! So! Idk I guess this is kind of like a clothes/shopping haul kind of post. And this is only, really, around half of what I've bought over the past month (I'll post the rest later, when I find them hahaha). Anyway!
I am a huge sucker for a post-christmas sale. Like 99% of shops have a sale going on, which is my kinda thing - especially New Look (where literally everything here is from - except the shorts. They're from H&M). I pretty much always buy my clothes for summer in the post-Christmas sales, so when spring/summer starts, I already have a few new outfits ready to go, and also so I dont have to go out and buy new clothes at full price, and I have a pretty set style, so when they bring out the new clothes, I already have very similar things - and I got them for almost - if not - half price!
So, after doing a little bit of maths, these clothes would've come to over £45, but I only spent probably a little more than £25.
Also, the sales bring out my inner risk taker, because last year I would not in a million years have picked up those shorts, but this year not only did I pick them up, but I bought them (and I actually wore them today, paired with two pairs of tights and a plain shirt), and honestly I'm really happy I did, because they're very different to the rest of my wardrobe, which is never a bad thing.

HEY! So, at the moment i cant really make any vlogs, but as soon as i can, im gonna maybe make one like. a clothes haul kind of. because over the past few weeks i got some great bargains from the sales. and they're so cute. so.
idk if anyone wants to seee what i bought, that'll probably be my first official ~vlog~ when i can actually do it.

ok but i got these super cute shorts and they reminded me of deck chairs on the beach AND they were on sale so i had to get them so youll def be seeing a picture of them at least.
woops i havent really been posting on this blog, bUT i got some super cute clothes aND A NEW PHONE so i may make a blog post/vlog about them tomorrow. maybe. if anyone cares.
Aslo, we're gonna be working in the theater's music studio, and he's gonna help us all with breathing techniques and other singing techniques and when i played Safe and Sound for him, he was like "you'd have to be able to do falsetto, can you do that?" and i was like, 'uh, i dont know' and he was like 'ok sing it' so i did and he was like "oh yeah, you can do it" and i was like eeeee
im not sure i even know what falsetto is.
SO at college, for our music assignment we had to pick 2-4 songs each to do solo, and i chose Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift & The Civil Wars, Love is on the Radio by McFly, and Ho Hey by the Lumineers, but im also maybe considering asking my tutor if i can change or add Blank Space by Taylor Swift, or the cover version of Break Free by Alexi Blue, but idk.
also, we're doing a contemporary dance to Blame it on Me by George Ezra, which despite making me ache literally for days, is super fun. Also we get to listen to George Ezra for 4 hours, which is always a bonus :)

so i guess this is like. my first blog proper blog post. and i mean why not its the first day of 2015. and like. its super weird because this blog is about my life and not about my cats. or somebody elses cats. this is going to be a very boring post!! woohoo!!!
so, 2014 was good, because i've finally started to get my shit together. at this little theatre group i went to, we wrote and performed our own musical, which was honestly one of the most incredible experiences i've ever had (LOOK IM ON STAGE!!! SINGING!!! IN FRONT OF LIKE 300 PEOPLE!!!), and its just 300% confirmed that acting is what i definitely want to do, and with the confidence i gained from those little 2-hour saturday sessions, i've been able to go back to college, studying performing arts.
also, i've become a lot more accepting of myself. i used to hate lot of things about me. my height, my nose, i used to think people would find me annoying, the list goes on. but i've finally managed to accept them, and while sometimes i have my doubts, im ultimately happy now that im comfortable with who i am and how i look.
at the end of 2013, i told myself 2014 is going to be a good year for me, and it was, and i would honestly rant about it forever and ever, but this post is getting long enough as it is, and i can only hope that 2015 is even better - not just for me, but for everyone. i hope everyone manages to accomplish amazing things this year - whether it's auditioning for something, writing a book, or even just accepting one or two or all of your flaws.
i cant believe this blog has 34 followers already. like i can't believe 34 of you care enough to follow this blog which is soon going to be filled with posts about my life and college and the things i'm hopefully gonna do and im so excited to get this started already. also i feel bad because i probably won't actually start posting properly until 2015. and wowee i cant believe it i love u all :*
