Dear Evie,
Wow. You've grown up a hell of a lot, haven't you? You're not the innocent little girl that we all used to see walking around London. Believe it or not, no matter what anyone tells you, you're not weak. You're a fucking force to be reckoned with.
You've been through a lot. We all have. But, there's some things that won't be the same. When you live in London--its fucking hard to leave.
You always come back to it.
Almost always.
There's a lot of shit going on and I promised Lux that I was giving us a life that wasn't full of crime. Staying here--its like that life keeps calling me right back. It tells me that I have to stick around.
I can't be apart of that life. And I think I owe it to Anna to be a man that can walk away from that life for her sake. Anna Evelyn Harrison. That middle name is perfect for her. She's a strong little girl and she has the middle name of an equally strong woman.
You're not a little girl anymore, Evie. You're a grown woman.
And I'm so proud of how you've grown up.
You're always welcome to come see us in America, Evie. Anna needs to see her namesake and that means we'll visit from time to time.
I got an offer. Many offers. Here in America, they're more willing to give my idea a better shot than in England. Go figure, huh?
It's an idea that I need to go through with. I'm going to give the life I promised Lux to her and Anna. I owe it to them.
You're going to be fine, love. You're going to be among the strongest women here in London. And you know why?
Cause I tend to only stick around strong women.
Actually... I can't remember any guys besides Aleks (does he count as a guy ...) that I've stuck around lately.
Take care of yourself and stick by Meg. You two together? That just means there's going to be a hell of a lot going on in London.
I love you,
Roman
