The older I get, the more I come to realize my biggest fear is just living a mediocre life where I am a slave to my anxiety and self doubt. It is so paralyzing and I know it is only I, that can give myself the opportunity to experience more. Nothing matters more than the chances you can give yourself every day to try again.

There is a grain of truth to the whole "hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times" thing, only it's exclusively used by like, fascist freaks who have no idea they are the weak men in question

But mostly when I hear that phrase, when I'm not thinking about like, eugenicist losers, I'm reminded of like... People who grew up in a world without diseases thanks to vaccines and then convince themselves they don't need it, people who grew up with strong social safety nets and high taxes on the rich convincing themselves all that shit is theft and life is just fine without it, etc
