“Oh, so you have seen Uta already. My my, you get around.” Not that that was particularly surprising. Roma was the boldest and least cautious of them. It was just like her to throw herself at everyone and everything until she found some fun. “You know he promised me a party. We should hold him to that.”
“I suspect he would know more about any of your old coffee shop co-workers than I would, too, but it does seem that this city imports us in bulk.” They all had their specific points of access. Even without his mask shop, Uta was more clued into any parts of the ghoul world that didn’t show up in the CCGs database. A shame Itori wasn’t here, as far as he knew. She could probably have provided an entire list.
“As for our star actor himself, well. Good news and bad news, I’m afraid.”
He felt for her, truly he did. It would be like him coming here and not even being able to play because Kaneki was in his little tantrum period, when he just ran in circles, chasing shadows. They hadn’t been boring months, for sure, but only because he’d been busy with… other things. They all shared a favorite show, it seemed, but preferred different seasons.
“What, he did?! We should then! Even if it’s just the three of us.”
Clowns have a definitive description of fun that they all pride themselves with. It’s like their brand, their identity, a part of what makes them part of the group. With Uta, their party’s going to be a blast, just knowing what the mask maker is capable of. It’ll be like a girl’s night out except with dudes.
“I don’t wanna work with them anymore.” She stuck her tongue out again. “They treat their employees badly. I’ll be finding a new employer soon!”
Being tied down to one job really does suck too.
“Oh tell me, Sou-chan! Don’t skip out on the deets!”
