Okay but on the topic of thunderbolts

They really made some random girl named Anya friends with Yelena, and then she was killed, it’s for real giving knock off Natasha and Marina vibes.

Also why out of all names it had to be Anya I feel like they are just erasing all of the black widows history of these characters in general at this point, like they could’ve used Lika as her friend instead if they really had to have someone else there

Anyways that’s just a little rant about the movie that was stupid besides the wasted opportunity of taskmaster, (also sorry about the quality I literally couldn’t find a picture of Anya and Yelena that was good quality)

Just watched thunderbolts, it was a pretty decent movie.

A little sad that taskmaster was such a wasted opportunity to use, but to be fair literally almost everyone hated her so she was gonna die anyways

Also I noticed Bucky’s new outfit looks just like his comic ones (finally a comic accurate-ish look)

Very random but I love the way Nat’s apartment/house/whatever the hell is it, is designed it really just fits her vibe

The light switch design is low-key cute as well

I wonder if we will see Starkovsky (aka Yelena’s instructor in the comics) now that we gotten scenes of young Yelena during her time in the red room

Honestly I low-key want someone to spoiler thunderbolts to me, I need to know if taskmaster dies or not

Cuz I literally could care less about the other characters besides her, ghost and sentry

Also this is random but the taskmaster suit and ghost’s is kinda growing on me, I prefer ghosts antman outfit more tho specially for the red only.

Anyways what’s y’all’s ideas/opinions on the movie?

Okay but the fact that the ‘Black Widow’ title meant so much to Yelena, how she so badly wanted be that person, that she wanted to make her parents proud.

But once Natasha made that whole plan in 2001 and getting daredevil to sa’d her knowing damn well it was Yelena , swapping their faces to get her to see the truth of the ‘Black Widow’, and trying to ‘save’ her.

After that she stops using that title and I realize she also never mentions her aunt or parents ever again after this comic, almost like she was shamed to ever tell her parents about how she wasn’t a ‘Black Widow’ and they be so disappointed in her.

Anyways that’s just a little thought on the current relationship with Yelena and her parents even tho they probably won’t be mentioned ever again

I went back to reread Kelly Thompson’s Black Widow, it’s like when your used to a character and their personality traits and such, but the writer just decides to flip the whole character around and completely off the rails to where it doesn’t even make sense

I will say the whole Stevie plot thing was the main problem of the comic that made it horrible

Although the only thing I liked was the interactions with Yelena and Nat (even tho you can tell it’s definitely mcu synergy, with how they are acting with each other)

So in general the comic itself was like a 3/10, the main problem was definitely just how Natasha’s personality was messed up and the weird Stevie deal.

Okay this thought about Yelena being the ‘White Widow’ and the symbolism for it (at least to me)

I feel like now that Yelena goes by the ‘white widow’ it gives more of a symbolic meaning of she couldn’t replace Natasha, she couldn’t be better than her, and she’s just another widow seen with no purpose.

All she gets is the opposite of the ‘black widow’ just showing more she couldn’t even have her own original name cuz it’s literally the same thing but with different colors in the name

At least that’s the symbolic feeling it gives to me but knowing damn well it’s just mcu synergy going into the newer comics and her wearing white so they just call her ‘white widow’ cuz of that

Another random thing just on my mind, but a red room season or event would be cool af in marvel rivals later in the future.

Like you can have headmistress as the villain, Anya can be there, other widows, cool voice line Easter eggs.

The skins would be cool af as well like Yelena as super-adaptoid as a example

Although rivals Natasha is like the new red room headmistress so it can be like a takeover of Natasha taking the red room as her own or something, much like Anya being the new headmistress in the comcis

Okay but Natasha’s hellfire gala skin in the trailer is so damn hot and a cool take on the mask, compared to her comic version.

If I did have a ps5 or Console stuff, I would’ve 100% played marvel rivals just for this skin

Are we sure Nat isn’t the ‘adopted’ one compared to Anya, well she is definitely the more loved one tho

Still no idea why Yelena was her sister in mcu when Anya is literally right there, Anya is literally her ‘sister’ and has a good rivalry with her it would’ve been great for the bw movie if we had headmistress and Anya instead.
