hello! my name is myr, im going to be 19 in about a month, and iām in a bit of a bind. my dad and i have almost always relied on social security and food stamps to keep us afloat! weāve done relatively well, everything considered. things werenāt 100% comfortable, but my dad often buys us things we like like games, music, and the like. but july is differentāsocial security cuts off all benefits after you either turn 19 or graduate high schoolāwhichever happens first. i graduated on june the third, and that was the last month we got benefits. me and my dad were hoping to get about $300 in food stamps to replace most of the $494 weāve received monthly (from just my benefits alone). my dad is disabled and so am i (but not as much), and iāve been struggling with my mental health. however, that hasnāt cut my job searchāive applied to about 40 places, had 2 interviews, but no dice. iāve done some freelance writing online, but thatās only so much money. i need to make about 500 dollars/month to keep us afloat(and thatās without the expenses iām going to need to cover college classes in a few months), and a part time job canāt do that (though ive still been applying). but how many places are going to take a freshly graduated kid and give them a full time position? not many. so i figured it was time to take the fight here. iām a writer, roleplayer, and an artist in my own right (wouldnāt sayĀ āgraphic design is my passion,ā but iāve got a few tricks up my sleeve in terms of banners).
tl;dr: the job search is hard, weāre low on cash and need money for bills and groceries. iām doing commissions for flash fiction, fanfic, one-acts and other literary works, as well as banners, graphics, and icons!

for writing, i wrote this drabbleĀ (trigger warning for alcohol and abuse, there are mentions of sexual themes, pda, emetophobia, terminal illnessābasically, if you have a lot of textual triggers, dont read it), this story i wrote in 2013, this 10 minute play i wrote, and this drabble, which is a bit old, but shows my poetic prose (death tw).
