I have an art blog but.. I can't get attention no matter how hard I try... ;-; what do I do?

Hmm this is a big problem with artists onlineBut I guess these are the main things I focused on while trying to make a name for myself

-ContentWhat’s happening in your drawing? A lot of people prefer fandom content to Original content unfortunately - I suggest while creating original content draw fandom content to keep your followers interested while offering them some of your own ideas. Tip; (Audience reacts to pain and suffering especially in comics)

-ExperienceAs sad as it is, I know a lot of artists who’ve only just begun and draw on paper with pencil who don’t get a lot of attention,, don’t get discouraged, keep drawing and don’t give up.Tip; (Never compare yourself to another artist, learn from them, get inspired kid)

-TimingUpload your art onto tumblr at a popular/busy time, if your in another country like me your not aware of when your post will be most viewed in another country ( America is a big part of tumblr ) check out timezones! Tip; (I have a clock app on my phone which allows me to see all countries time zones)

-Patience It takes time to be noticed, build relationships and don’t feel like your content isn’t good enough. So what if people don’t notice you at first? Your an artist with potential! Every famous artist started at zero followers! Tip; (Ask for a promo from a friend, reblog their art and they might reblog yours in return)

Remember not to get caught up in the publicity/popularity side of tumblr, if you enjoy drawing something and appreciate the result yourself then being noticed on the Internet should be extra credit! I get frustrated when something I’ve worked on isn’t noticed, but I remind myself that this means I haven’t been focusing on the fun journey or development of the piece.

I want to see Pidge Gunderson and Leo Valdez be friends.

I want Leo to flip a shit at Pidge’s lion and Pidge to be absolutely fascinated with Festus and for the both of them to rant about their awesome magic machine friends that they tricked out.

I want to see them go off about tech and machines and for Leo to show Pidge the Hephaestus gang and they all love Pidge.

I want Pidge to introduce Leo to Lance and automatically realize how much of a mistake that was because the two get along way too well. I want Leo to help Pidge make a new Rover and for Pidge to give Leo cool space machinery he would tinker with furiously.

I want Leo to not realize that Pidge isn’t a girl at first but then he finds out he literally treats her no differently bc he just loves for his new friend.

I want Pidge to roll her eyes when Leo makes a stupid joke but laugh genuinely when he makes a pun or does something funny.

I want Pidge to call Leo smart and Leo doesn’t stop smiling for the rest of the day.

I want Leo to open up about his mom and for Pidge to talk about losing her family and wanting to do everything to get them back and Leo understanding and they don’t have to get sappy and talk about it bc they are working with their machines and they aren’t good with words but they understand and that’s enough.

I want them to exchange little gifts, to remember each other and for them to find a way to stay in contact while Pidge is off in space.

I want them to take a picture with them and Green and Festus and keep it with the gift they have from their new friend.

Of course! I’m complete trash for this ship tbh

Everyone thinks they have their lives together but honestly?? They’ll all complete messes

But they make it work (most of the time)

One time they were making food for a social event and Octavian and Annabeth somehow turned it into a competition

They set the kitchen on fire, but it was put out quickly thanks to their fire proof boyfriend

Stuff like that happens a lot

Their room is split into three sections for each of them

Annabeth’s is cluttered with crumpled papers and half read books

Leo’s has unfinished projects all over the floor and tools and blueprints on every surface

Both of those really differ from Octavian’s, which is neatly organized and honestly looks like he’s never touched any part of it

When they all end up actually having a sleeping schedule that aligns with the others they form a pile on the bed and try their best not to fall off

Octavian insists on cuddling them a lot for no other reason than he’s always cold and needs to steal their body heat

Not that Leo or Annabeth are complaining

Sometimes Leo will fly his datemates out on Festus to go look at architecture or visit museums

While helping Leo with his projects they get pretty distracted with how cute the others look while they work

Which ends up in less engineering and more sloppy kisses

And a project exploding that one time it was octavian’s fault

Basically a crackship is a ship that literally makes no sense and has a small chance of becoming canon or none at all. Pretty funny since my main ships are all crack (i dont fuck with canon)
