they sit on the windowsill of nancy's dorm room, sharing a cigarette and a can of beer, watching the sun set over emerson college campus.

the tears have dried and they're left with this dull, empty ache inside their chests.

when there's no more cigarette to smoke and no more beer to drink, robin jumps down and looks up at nancy, her eyes still shimmering, cheeks still red.

"one last thing, nance," she says, smiling despite wanting to scream.

"when you fall in love again, promise me that for a brief moment, you'll think of me? and then go and do it better with him, yeah? because the day i give my heart to someone again, i will think of you for a quick moment, but i promise i'll do better with her."

Wow this is a fascinating question. I don’t think s1 Nancy would interact with Robin on purpose. Shes a bit of an outcast like Jonathan. I think it’d literally take a life or death situation for them to be thrown together.

Whenever Robin, Steve, and Nancy are walking a long (or even slightly long) distance anywhere, Robin definitely complains that Nancy’s ‘short little legs’ are slowing them down.

And she’s definitely not complaining just because she knows Nancy will cross her arms and say ‘carry me then’ and then Robin will get to give her a piggy-back ride. Definitely not.

hate how the female friendships were written in the show. why are they written to despise eachother or find each other annoying before they become friends

atleast with elmax it kinda made sense for eleven to hate max at first because she has no idea how friendships work but what was the point of nancy being annoyed with robin???

Nancy never tried to form a close friendship like that again since losing Barb. She threw herself into work or causes she believed in to distract herself, and now here comes some bumbling girl who is nonstop rambling. Impossible to ignore. Of course her natural instinct would be to keep Robin at arm’s length. Doesn’t work for long. Doesn’t even work WELL.
